I think the main point is
That Global Entry gets picked up by most credit cards and is a good tool to have. I would have it even if it was not picked up by my CC. Clear is also picked up by my CC so I have that.
Now if we could just figure out how to get through the long lines in Medellin.

Mobile passport is not part of trusted traveler program so at times you are going to get the third degree from customs agents. You are much less likely to get that with GE. Typically, I am asked if I have anything to declare with GE and that is it. Last time I went through customs I was literally asked nothing. You also get the free TSA precheck with GE which is a great value.
Yeah, GE is $100, but many, many credit cards offer up a $100 rebate if you buy GE so in essence it is free for a many travelers.
I agree that mobile passport blows away the regular lines and it is an alternative to GE but I have done both, and GE is way, way better.[/QUOTE]
