I have lost thousands of money to indies who approached me for money for reasons like met with accident, husband lost job, no money to even buy milk for baby, no ration at home, parents died, lost jobs, got divorced etc. They all sound so innocent when asking money, but when you pay them, their tone changes and they keep on making lame excuses and even don't reply to you even after seeing messages. Better to avoid giving even 1 Rs to indies.

Any advance is a scam. Other thing I would also avoid is if you're calling them to your hotel never give them your room number incase it's bait and switch and someone else comes instead of who you saw in pics / video call.
