That depends on what you get infected with. It could be anywhere from a couple of days, to a few months - or you could get no symptoms at all, which is probably more likely. The only way to be sure is to have regular STI tests and if you're a frequent diner, you should probably ask for a throat swab while you're at it.

Zilch, zero, nada. If you wanted to talk absolute worst case scenario, I guess you could get a skin-to-skin infection like molluscum or scabies or warts if she was sliding around on top of you naked - but that would be pretty darn unlikely.

An experimental sex lubricant designed by Australian researchers could help block both HIV and genital herpes, a study suggests.

Tests on lab animals have shown that the microbicide gel, called Viva Gel, inactivates the HIV virus and another responsible for genital herpes.

Lead researcher Dr Jeremy Paull from Melbourne-based pharmaceutical company Starpharma told the International AIDS Society conference in Sydney the gel would be used by heterosexual men who apply it directly to themselves before sex.

It would be most useful in sub-Saharan African nations where the HIV epidemic is mostly seen among heterosexuals.

The active ingredient in the microbicide is dendrimer, a molecule which binds itself to the viruses and prevents them from infecting healthy cells, Dr Paull said.

Recent trials on animals have shown it is between 85 and 100 per cent effective at blocking both viruses.

Safety trials of the gel are now underway in humans. The first results, presented at the congress, show it is safe and well tolerated in healthy men, uncircumcised or not.

Dr Paull said the gel's ability to prevent genital herpes was particularly positive, news.com.au reports.

VivaGel(TM) is being developed as a topical vaginal microbicide for the prevention of HIV and genital herpes, and is currently under investigation in healthy female volunteers in two separate expanded safety clinical trials at four sites in the U.S. and Kenya. VivaGel(TM) also shows promise as a contraceptive agent.

VivaGel(TM) is also being explored as a condom coating following the recent signing of an agreement with a leading international condom company.

The agreement includes a program of evaluation and development and also commercialisation rights covering condoms with VivaGel(TM) coatings within a specified geographical region. The condom company, whose name may not be disclosed for reasons of confidentiality, holds the leading market position within that region. The market in question is in the developed world, and ranks within the top five globally, measured by GDP, CNNMoney.com reports.

I know there's conflicting views (as always) about the levels of the HIV virus found in breast milk. I had a search around and according to UNAIDS et al, they estimate about 15% of babies will contract HIV from their mothers breastmilk. If a baby drinking large amounts of milk every day for at least six months has an 85% chance of being ok, the risk of sucking on a lactating breast for an hour would surely be negligible.

There's also a chance of Hep B&C being present in breast milk, but the rates of transmission reported were even lower than the HIV rates. Most of the articles I found said that breastfeeding wasn't a method of transmission for other common STIs, at all.

Of course, there's always some poor bugger that defies the odds and manages to get sick doing something considered completely safe! Also, breastfeeding women often get cracked and sore nipples, so if she was bleeding at all, the risks would probably increase.

The purpose of "crime" is to feed the cop. And the purpose of the cop is to feed itself, it's family and to breed (more cops).

The purpose of "disease" is to feed the doctor. Any doctor is far from being a "charitable organisation" but is aiming to feed itself and it's family and to breed more (doctors), like himself.

Surprise, surprise....the son of a cop is more likely to become a cop and the son of the doctor likewise. There is an oversupply of doctors and cops. Universities and other institutions vomiting them out by the thousands every year. To feed them all, there must be "new diseases" found and "new crimes" invented by the "lawmakers" so that everyone gets fed and not laid off work.

The doctor being rather "intelligent" and the cop rather "ruthless" finds it not too difficult to fool the masses of average "intelligence and morality" on every level.

This is "evolution" in it's purest form. Survival of the fittest. Starting from the simplest bacteria, all follow the same law. The two leading races of the "cops" and "doctors" rising above all the average masses. In order to live they must consume food and this food is the "blood and sweat" of average people. Their food is the masses of humans of "average intelligence" and "average ruthlessness".

The doctor sells you the idea that it is okay to keep your house filthy, if the cockroaches appear you can always kill them with poison. The cop sells the idea that "bad things" happen to "good people". And that no matter what you do, as long as nobody has seen you doing it, you are innocent and good.

This is how "diarrhoea, pneumonia, fungal infections and general malnutrition" symptoms now are called "aids" simply because it pays better than the previous diseases. I cannot prove the existance or non-existance of "aids" virus, but I can (and anyone can easily) prove that millions live from the belief that it exists and they anxiously hold on to that belief in fear of losing the precious "daily bread".

This includes doctors, nurses, educators as well as the simple "african/asian peasant" who gets fed and clothed for free as long as he claims to have "aids" and not diarrhoea or fungal infection or pneumonia. How many multi-billion dollar "diarrhoea-charity funds" are in Africa?

Millions in the offices that make the "law", slurping their coffees in luxury every day, and many other millions who clap a fancy weapon (legally) on their side and go on cheerful hunting parties amid great fuss and media-coverage, chasing a few miserable foxes.

Happily putting on fat smiles in front of the cameras while holding the cut-off head of a dead fox after the succesful hunt. This is "real drug business" and not the smuggling of a few grams of worthless shit. Only fools do that. Chasing the "bad guys" is much safer and pays more consistently well. One "succesful" drug-runner might make a few thousand bucks during his short, miserable life. While the cop works more slowly and consistently, earning a good yearly salary as well a pension for his retired life going fishing.

When I went to Prague, I got a skin infection that turned into a cyst the size of a half dollar and had to go on antibotics. It is not just STD. People carry bacteria on their skin that can pass to your skin. I got some bacteria from some girl and now that cyst can come back whenever it wants. If it comes back, my dermotologist will have to remove it. Sure, it's not STD. But it is still something. I got it with my first girl in Prague. So even if you practice safe sex and do not get herpes, you will still get something. In my case, a skin bacteria which still resides in my skin somewhere.
