Great report, and interesting to follow your learning curve! I guess we have all been through the same thing.

I fully agree with your comments about the importance of having fun with the girls, and not just going through the mechanical bit. It's what makes BKK girls special. A lot of potentially bad experiences can be improved with a smile and a good attitude. I sometimes take a little gift as well - like you say, it is nice to be nice.

I am more relaxed about possible STDs than you, but I guess it might be different if my wife was waiting for me back at the hotel (how did you manage that?). There's sex, and then there's having a good time. From the very start, I knew I wanted to have a good time, and try some sex too. I got that, by and large. But if I had been focused on just how good the sex was, only half of my outings would count as good ones.

This provides the perfect way for me to get away for a "traditional Thai massage", or so she thinks.

I was initially worried about coming back smelling all clean and bubble bathy. However, I've found that while I do smell a bit like that after a session, a quick walk through Bangkok's heat and pollution gets me nice and sweaty and grimy again, which provides a good cover.

However, there is something surreal about going off and bonking a couple of early-20-something girls, then coming home to the family. I certainly feel like I'm getting away with something. Well, at today's prices it's about 2000, so twenty fold increase over 25 years, or roughly 13% increase per annum compounded, not unlike housing costs ! The proper test is the ratio between the gross adult male wage and a LT - I was not born in 1972 so I don't know what the wages were.

In November 2007 the exchange rate is 31 baht to 1 USD. So assuming wages of $US1k per week, at today's rate, that equates to $US 64.50 or 6% of a weeks wages. Has this gone up or down ?

It's complicated because Bush has destroyed the US currency (and a lot of other things) that has lost a quarter of its value in the last three years. Bush has increased the cost of Bush ! Many girls are making seriously good money by Thai standards, more than doctors and professionals. The uglier ones less so.

The only suggestion is have a longer term g/f (for a few days) to lower the cost per blow job/screw - if they know you it can be cheaper. Dear Tiger, I think that we cheap charlies get an unfair rap about 'mistreating' the girls. Nothing about driving a hard bargain or maintaining a respectful distance suggests a miserable time for the girls. Personally I believe there are many girls who prefer our businesslike approach.

The reason we don't discuss Patpong is because it's for tourists who don't know any better than to go there on their first night in BKK. Full of rip-off joints, touts, and everything is over-priced. A mear shadow of its self of its heyday during the Vietnam way and now mostly a night market for knock off goods.

Radio City Music Hall is the one exception, but it's for the Elvis and Tom Jones impersonators not to pick up girls. Although it can be done. Star of Light is ok if you like the BJ bars (which I don't). Other than these places I don't know of any other reason to go to Patpong.

Anyway to total expense. 235 (meter)+50 (service charge) +65 (toll)= 350. Could be easily done for less than 300 without the direction loss.

Went for walk found some, Alex club not many looker at 4:00 am. Asked Coke. Asked the price, she pointed 1 finger. I tough WTF it can't be 1 bht, must be 10 bht. I puled out 20 bht bill and handed her and she looked at me well dressed gentleman and cracked up. Said. 100 bht. So I paid. My funny game is already working; ) NOT MANY looker. Most of <5.

For "ugly" shows like smoking pussy, pussy firing darts to pop balloons, shooting banana etc. go to "Long Gun" in "Soi Cowboy" near Sukhumwit road (all Taxis will know where it is) with added bonus of full nude dancing, and some choreographed dance shows.

Can you be more specific about which bars you visited and in what way Pat Pong had better quality?
It is known that some downstairs gogo bars in Pat pong have some very pretty girls but they are usually very costly and do not provide very good service in my expereince (from a long time back).
I went to Queens Castle III (upstairs) with some girls fully nude a few months back and found only one girl with a good enough figure to interest me. But the best bars in Soi Cowboy have several really good looking girls.
