Unfortunately the Atrium Mall is nowhere near the Senayan area. It's located a bit northeast of the MONAS Monument (the phallic monument in the center of downtown, also known as "Sukarno's Last Erection") whereas the Senayan area is a few miles south of MONAS, near the Youth Monument (also known as the "Pizza Man" statue).
But yes, the Atrium Mall is good for daytime mongering, and Plaza Senayan should also be good. Or you could hop down to the Hotel Melawai at Blok M, take the elevator to the 6th floor, and have a 1-hour daytime session with one of the cuties there, 300,000 rupiah plus a small tip (50,000?). Ask for Evie, Citra or Sandra.
Bluebird taxis are easy to find virtually everywhere. All of the big malls such as Plaza Senayan, Senayan City (where the new X2 is supposedly located, it's across the street from Plaza Senayan, same owner as Plaza Senayan, different mix of shops), Plaza Indonesia, etc. will have Blue Birds waiting at the taxi stand outside the main entrance. No need to keep a BB waiting for you at any of these malls.
One warning - make sure you are in a real Bluebird taxi! Unfortunately there are some competing taxi cab companies whose cabs are also painted blue. This is actually a serious matter - about once a month a passenger gets robbed while inside a taxi, and it is always a blue-colored taxi cab but never a Bluebird. A real Bluebird will have the words "Blue Bird" on the front windshield, up top.
I take taxis 4-5 times a day, and I always take either Bluebird, Express (white) or Gamya (forest green color). In a pinch I'll take Koperasi taxis (ugly orange and green), which are ok but all of them seem to be cabs from the 1980s.
I rarely take Silver Bird taxis in town, but I always take a Silver Bird going to and from the airport. And Bulai69 is right - if you're a newbie to Jakarta, your best bet is take a Silver Bird to avoid getting ripped off. The price to go from the international airport to Atlet Century Park should be whatever is on the meter (probably 100,000 to 120,000 rupiah), plus 9,500 rupiah for the tolls and an 8,000 rupiah airport surcharge, which is a legitimate charge (you only pay it on the way into town). plus a small tip (around 10,000?).
Yes, my fellow members and I are all looking forward to some actual reports and photos from you (instead of questions) :)
My fello comrade Spearman..,
Thank you for your kind reports. I'm SURE I'll give you my reports. BUT ONE THING. Just wondering. LOLZ. ITS WEIRD taking pictures during sex. Havent done it. LOLZ. Another thing. I have been to Blok M before. Who is Evie, Citra or Sandra? Are they mama pimps?
By the way from Atlet hotel is it a walkable distance to X2 or to the mall areas which you mentioned? Sorry if I asked too much. I'm too noob. LOLZ.
Certainly you are right and searching for a taxi in arrivals it can be a way of saving time if there is a queue at Silver Bird. However, for those new to Jakarta there is a risk of being ripped off so new comers need to be careful.
Personally I always pre-book a silver Bird through the hotel which costs about 30% more but saves time and it's chargeable but if I was paying myself I would certainly do as mongerxx suggests
Actually, there is no time saving difference except for the difference for seeing the bigger Silverbird sign at the curbside. Seriously, just walked to the curb and look at the small orange (or yellow?) signs with the name of taxi company at the entrance to every taxi parking space. There will be a bluebird taxi within no more than 150 feet of the silverbird stand, and it may even be closer to the door they exit from. Also it appears the bluebird stand has an attendent just like the silverbird stand.
Taxis are not nearly as cheap as they were a couple of years ago in Jakarta. So while not saving time you may save yourself four or five bucks going to town doing as I recommend. However, if you are afraid that you can't actually read these signs, strongly prefer a slightly vehicle, or strongly prefer a slightly new vehicle then splurge on the silverbird. I just think the uniform tale the Silverbird from the airport reccomendation is dated infromation and doesn't reflect the current taxi setup at the international arrivals.

If you want to go to Plaza Senayan, just walk out the back door of the Atlet. You don't need a taxi. And, BTW, if you want to avoid the walk of shame with your date, walk back in through the same door.
But I don't think Plaza Senayan is a good place for mall hunting. I say that with some trepidation because I'm not an accomplished mall hunter like some here. I've run across more available women in Plaza Indonesia and Pasaraya, even though I've spent a lot more time in Plaza Senayan.
Spearsman's suggestion of 6th Floor Melawai was my favorite daytime option when staying at the Atlet and the Mulia, although I haven't been by there since the trouble with the police. There are a lot of daytime options around the area where Jalan Hayam Wuruk and Jalan Mangga Besar intersect -- just look through this thread -- but it can be a long haul from the Atlet if the traffic is bad, and you better be happy porking women you can't communicate with, because not many speak English. That said, in the afternoon you'll run across a lot of young hotties at Tiara Ceria and other places, something you won't find in the Melawai hotel.
Hey Guys,
Lets say I wanna go to plaza senayan for mongering, should I ask these taxi's to wait or there would be alot of bluebirds or silverbirds waiting near the taxi stands?

My grateful thanks to the brothers for providing information on Sentral at Pasar Mayestik. For guys like me who have a wife in town and don't have many opportunities to sneak off and need to monger during the day, this place is a godsend. On my last visit I asked for the "pake love" with Mona since on of the brothers had recommended her services. She wasn't available but the old harpy at the counter suggested Dewi and after seeing her photo, I agreed.
Dewi was cute slim bodied with small budding perky tits. She was extremely GFE. She gave me a massage and a lovely BBBJ. I followed it up with a missionary and doggie style in the time that remained. I'd give her 8 or even 9/10 on all counts.Sure I plan to be back as soon as I can and ask for her again.

As far as I know, the price is 350,000 plus tip, not 300,000 plus tip. It's been that way a few years now.

I think it's more difficult to find a girl in Plaza Senayan than, at the other extreme, Atrium, but if you do find one she is likely to be much more up-market. Whereas girls certainly go to Atrium specifically in order to be picked up, I think this is rarely the case in PS. Plaza Indonesia is similar to PS in this respect but certainly some girls go there just to be picked up; this applies anytime day or night and at night there are a variety of pimps hanging around which I've never seen in PS. This is just a very general view and of course there are exceptions. As for picking up sales assistants, this is just as easy (or hard) in PS or PI though I've never tried that in Atrium (never needed to!)

I've noticed some that appeared to be on the game at PI, but have only picked up one. I'm not sure to this day whether she was a semi-pro or a "good girl". She worked at an insurance company in downtown Jakarta where she said she made about 1.7 million Rupiah/month. She never directly asked me for cash, but did insist we go shopping, and ended up extracting about a month's salary (hers) from me over a couple of days.

You bring up an excellent point, Tiny. A WG who asks for cash ALWAYS is cheaper than a non WG. the non WG will milk you dry (pun intended). And since you met her at PI, she probably knows the place inside out, and knows EXACTLY what oleh2 she wants at any given time.

You're absolutely right, it's 350,000 rupiah plus a suggested tip of 50,000 for a girl at Maribaya Spa in Hotel Melawai. Sorry for the typo.
Who is Evie, Citra or Sandra? Are they mama pimps?
Evie, Citra and Sandra are 3 of the young lovelies who work at Maribaya Spa during the day shift.

Mongerxx's post about the improved taxi set-up at the airport is correct. But my comments were intended for a newbie, and I would still recommend that a pure newbie to Jakarta take Silver Bird from the airport their first trip if possible, the Silver Bird driver is more likely to speak at least some English and will not rip you off.
Unfortunately I still hear stories on a regular basis of newcomers getting ripped off; the normal trick is that the driver refuses to use the meter and instead tries to negotiate a fixed price that is much higher than the fare that would result from using the meter. Two weeks ago a newbie took one of the no-name taxis from the airport to the Marriott in Kuningan and was charged (and paid) an off-meter rate of 500,000 rupiah (almost US $60), which is five times the normal price.
While I usually take a Silver Bird, it's partially because (a) my company is paying or (b) I'm with several other people including kids. If any of you are alone and paying out of your pocket, then you might consider taking Blue Bird, Express or Gamya as a cheaper option to Silver Bird - it's up to you.

Just to add-on to 1Ball's astute comments to Tiny, I re-established contact with a mama-san at a karaoke that I used to frequent. This is the sms that she sent me this morning.
“ Ok no problem Babe, I just booring at hm … No Money, no boy friend n I want work again but not as shit girl, maybe As Recept. Or As Ass manager. Sorry Babe, last time with u I was love someone, but I like u too, one day I must control my self n decided not c u again. 3 months ago I found him with 3 shit girls n no more chance 4 him, even he wanna buy car 4 me. Sorry Babe, I just need someone to share my problem. Now I’m drunk from last nite. Actually I wanna c u 4 sure last time when u here. Give me time again Babe. I knew u and I’m scare to know the other man. I miz u …”
I really hope to meet the guy who "dumped" her ... 3 girls + her at the same time !!! I have a lot to learn from him LOL !!!!
Best,

Panya, I think we may be seeing the same girl.

10 Q to Might Spearman and Knight for your advice.
Since, nothing in life is free and this forum work because we trade information. I just like to inform members in this forum that the new BKK airport will have its own Airport Express which they called "Airport Link". If we are lucky, it will be operational in before X'mas this year. When I was in BKK early May this year, they are still assembling the overhead railway.
Panya, I think we may be seeing the same girl.
Smoothy,
If you're the guy with her plus 3 others all at once ... all hail, Esteemed Brother Smoothy!! :D But, why offer her a car??? RTFLMAO !!!
Seriously, though, don't expect fidelity when we are infidels -- I remembered that she asked me for a new Nokia N70 for her birthday last year. She never wanted any money from me, and felt insulted the 1st time I offered, even throwing it on the floor and said she's not that kind of girl. Now the cat's out of the bag that she was in luv with someone else at that time!! (And I'm certainly no Brad Pitt .. actually, I prefer George Clooney.)
So, does the (perceived) GFE of (so-called) non-WG compensate for the presents and shopping that we end up paying for? Or is it cheaper to pay off a WG for the deed each time?
Best,
Panya
