1. New Garden, Tierra Linda, Casa Valeria, Orquidea, or where else? I know these and some others are on Calle Dr. Rosen, and I believe they're between the beach and Pedro Clisante. Good pool, good beach access, good chica access, a decent restaurant on or near premises - all valued by me.

Sosua is very, very small so any of the hotels are 1-2 minutes from the action. The only chica-friendly hotel on the beach is Sosua Bay Beach Club (part of Sosua Bay Resort).

2. I hear about New Garden chicas - are they "on the staff" like Blackbeard's, or freelancers who are welcome for the "monger-friendly" atmosphere?

No, they are allowed to hang out and you negoiate on your own . They are usually nothing much but a few are good for afternoon fun.

3. Avda. Pedro Clisante appears to be ground zero - from "Calle What?" to "Calle What?"

The main part of Pedro Clisante is only 1 block, there are some other place 5-10 minutes further down PC. Sosua is small!

4. Going rate for chicas "on the strip"? What's a good offer; what's a good target; ST and TLN?

Day: 1000 for ST
Night: 1000-1500 ST, TLN is 1500-2000.

5. Places to target? Places to avoid? Likewise, chicas to target/avoid?

Not much happening in Seacrets but stop by for a look if you want. LaPassion's is 2500 for a 1 hour session onsite but you can salida the girls out for 500 after 12pm (1pm on weekends). The girls go back and forth all night so all you have to do is get a seat say in Merengue bar and watch the parade.

6. How's October, weather-wise? I know it's near the end of hurricane season.

They all had an indoor toilet with various degrees of fixtures, but only one had running water. The others had a plastic barrel of room temperature water, which is constantly refilled by buckets brought up from a street commuinity tap.

Classicos isn't even worth going into except Thurs, Fri, and Sat. Lot of university chicas on Friday and Saturday. I hate to see what's going to happen when school gets back in session.

Funny. One slow night I was in Classicos kinda early and the boogah percentage was really high. And the DJ started rocking "Ice, Ice Baby" much to the delight of the boogahs on the dance floor and I thought I was in the third circle of hell.

As an aside: I didn't know the bartenders at El Flow were available for takeout. Guess I never really paid attention to it. I snatched one at 3am outside of Club X thinking I was being slick, but she explained they're available if you pay the salida. Or wait until they get off.

Rumba Bar (across the street from El Flow) seems to be a nice alternative to El Flow. Plus the 15 foot outdoor screen is going to be popular come football season. I can see Americans flocking to that bar for MNF or Cowboys games. Construction at La Passions and is expected to be done by the end of the month. Kinda curious to see what he's come up with. There are a new set of girls there. Only two or three left overs.

There are a couple of cheapo "dominican" food spots that have popped up on Pedro Clisante. One, near the exchange bank down by PJs, was there when I was there in December. They always run out of food by 3pm. Two more have popped up further up the street. One is a small fried chicken shack that's right next to 4 Roses Bar. Another is a little further down in that strip with the barbershops/salons and the market. Susanna's has moved also. It's now in the restaurant space with the wooden storefront across from the sports book on Pedro Clisante (It used to be back in an alley).

Overall there seems to be more improvement in Sosua in the last 6 or 7 months versus what I've seen over the previous 4 years (I was on the every-other-month plan for a few years). If only the talent would follow in lockstep. But there was enough to keep me interested. And enough to keep me finding ways to come back. *sighs*.

While there. They had a Bday party with a bikini contest. The promoters were Dos Caras. Pretty cool party had about 100 gurls. All dressed in white!

Pretty much all the gurls from Classicos was there. LOL

Enjoyable trip but sobering to see how these people live every day,the poverty is gut wrenching to say the least.

I'm not a drinker. Many times when I go on the strip, I just hang out in front of the clubs, bars. I like to see the chica parade passing by going from one bar to the other. On my last visit to sosua, I notice that once or twice a week, There's jeep or truck with flashing lights on top, Police will get out and start walking up and down the strip. This is not the tourist police. This is the other police dressed in an army looking uniform. Out of nowhere the police start to lightly begin a pat down on me, I guess to find something illegal. I'm very aware at this point is to remain as calm as possible. Police ask me for id. The only thing I have on me is a copy of my passport and a big key chain logo with hotel seabreeze on it. I'm afro-american, at this point he knows I'm american. The way this police is conducting himself is in an unnecessary harassing way(bad attitude). After a good ten minutes go by, The police said to me, Nigger! The next time, If I don't have my original id(passport or state), I'm going to jail. Police man is just as dark as me. For the rest of the night, They continue up and down the strip in a harassing way. The local's told me they do this to everybody. I come to realize, that if you go inside the bar(club), they will not bother you. That's what I did the next time I saw them. I want no contact with them. It's like they want to make trouble for you. I still love Sosua!

I leave this Wed. for the DR and will be at BB's but will also spend some time in Sosua and I want to thank everyone for all of the information that has been posted. I will post any information or observations I feel are of interest when I return.

This is one of my favorite threads however this week I have been surprized at how far off topic this thread has gone. The negative tone and comments have for the most part gotten in the way of any real intel being provided. No finger pointing but ...... enough is enough.

Tin roofs (bring a tube of silicone to patch any holes in the tin, to keep rain water out), no air conditioning, lucky if there are fans and an inversor to power the lights and a fan, when the neighborhood has no electricity. Sometimes no running water to wash your hands after you go to the bathroom (could be good to bring some hand sanitizer). A small flashlight to see your way around when the power goes out and if the house doesn't have an inversor. Cloth curtains in the doorways, usually not many wood interior doors. The houses are usually kept very clean inside.

I don't understand why many homes don't have screens to keep out the flies and mosquitoes.

The young kids are funny, give them one dollar and they go crazy and run to a colmado to buy candy or an icy.

But they also know how to party when Santa Clause (me) comes to visit. They live full and passionate lives compared to a lot of lonely people up north here in the big city, who never relate to anything but their TV set.

What is "sobering" though is that my amazing experiences, as a white guy, being accepted into a third world family and lovin it, are not unique. I'm learning that quite a few of you guys have done more or less the same, but after waking up hung over, putting on the coffee, bringing up the water for a shower, finding a comfortable spot to kick back and drink beer, going for a beer with the brothers,having kids all over you, after a few days, you really become family. If you saw us all hanging out, you wouldn't know 'til the end of the night who was my chica. We don't sit aroud holding hands fer chissakes.

Also "sobering" is that the game played by my "special" chica, seems to be standard issue, even down to the terms used in her messages - Mi cielo, mi principe, mi corozon. Could be from any one of them. Do they all go to the same chica school?

But she is special in that she sells more than sex. She sells compatibility, total trust and reliablity, 24/7 total devotion and inclusion in her family and there's a market for that. I know, I'm one.

I now believe its not a "game" her and her family are playing. The chica may have a script, but to the rest of the family, male and female, it's just an accepted way of life for them.

I've never posted much real useful information on this board, because I'm still "negotiating" with my chica, and not sure yet how it will turn out. The chicas seem to be so smart that I'm paranoid they or somebody in the family, reads this board and I don't want to be identified while I'm laying out my game plan here for all to see. So bear with me, no names and places yet. I'm also dead scared of hearing one of you guys telling me you're down there right now with my "special" chica, with your dick in her mouth (:0). (I'd rather not know)

Won't take long to settle the question, tho, and then I'll post some pics, and give out my favorite locations and reviews.

But I always think the general info about my "relationship" can be useful to those guys who prefer a regular girlfriend, and are interested in what's involved.

Think of it as an alternative way to spend your vacation, although except for these "meeting family trips", you'll mostly find us partying on Pedro Cilante.

I had something to say about the "fathers" I've seen down there who have multiple families, and it's not as harsh as you might think, but I'll leave that for another time, if anyone's interested.
