Although 100 Baht seems incredibly cheap for a 1 hour massage, there are people in Thailand who work many hours for even less than 200 Baht per day. Its not possible to really live in Bangkok on that sort of money though I think. It would not be enough to pay room rent, electricity, food, travel, etc.

Wat Pho obviously has much lower overheads than other massage places in Bangkok.

Went to Cherry Massage today. I must say, the reports saying that there are only old laides, or that the ladies do not provide the service they are supposed to provide are not true. Yesterday, there were two or three quite attractive younger ladies; unfortunately my time schedule did not allow a test run. Today at about 2 pm I was welcomed by Jane and offered a beer, time to consider the options. Crammed shit place with no Aircon and a crapload of John Doe foreigners who think that it's just "cool as can be", fuck that, they can go grab a beer at khao san after.

There are much better places than what Pho, Healthland, Cefle, will give you an amazing massage, all in the comfort of a nice room with a nice breeze and some music. No extras.
