Current exchange is about 38 pesos to one US dollar. The exchange place inside the airport, probably offers 34 pesos for one US dollar. On Sunday, I don't know how many exchange places will be open in the city. Many businesses take US dollars or Euros for payment. When I am in the dr I use Popolar banco and western union. Both give very good rates last time more the 38. I was able to get large cash withdrawals while there with no hassle. It is possible to send money online through Western union to the DR. However popolar bank is very tourist friendly. Bring your pass port and you are golden. [

Some businesses are closed on Sunday (banks and maybe money exchange places). He might have to bite the bullet and exchange money at the airport or pay ATM fees. On Monday during the day he will have numerous options to exchange money, including western union.

Many restaurants, bars, hotels and pay for play venues in Santo Domingo will take US dollars, no problem. Bank cards or credit cards can be used to pay at some hotels, restaurants and pay for play venues. It is not 100% imperative to have Dominican pesos immediately, you can survive without pesos. (rates for most things in DR are better using pesos).

The other place I have used is the cambio inside the Caribe Tours bus terminal. Both places require you to show your passport.

I've had novias that I don't see till the end of my trip that ask, what happened? Because I've stumbled onto something my first day and was fucked and GFE out. Sd has so many lonely women that every now and then you bump into a chica that just has to feed her baby and will fuck you good.

With that said, the novia will be waiting on your call. I wouldn't take her to puta joints like 305, girlshouse, or lapus. I would take her to a club that she chooses. As you drive from the airport, go slow, there is an exchange shack on the left side about 0. 5 miles or so. You can change there, but do not flash the money outside. Frank's, on the Conde, is closed on Sunday; however, you can exchange directly across the street in the fast food place on the right side. They give a good rate, and I have bargained with them for a better rate than the posted rate.
