The pricing debate comes up eternally. What is really not understood enough is the bad dynamic of the price war. Before, lets say ten years ago still the prices were hardly mentioned, usually fixed the girls paid afterwards without being consulted. A tip of a dollar or two meant something. The girls in order to survive tried to get more repeat customers by giving good service. GFE. Some mongers were not happy with that they tried to get more personal leverage by throwing more money at the girls. It worked. But the girls learned that there is another way to make more, rather than give good service learn to gouge. There goes the service. Now in many places like the girls are not interested in going with you rather just extract money from you at the bar instead. And if they go out with you they are in a hurry to go back there.

Martini's gone, so is good old walkabout. Sharky's isn't anywhere near what it used to be some years ago. Bars choose their girls more carefully, means not every wacko from walkabout will have a change. Nor will freelancers adapt to work in a bar. Budget girls can be found from golden sorya. Demand sets the price, and the price sets the demand, that is a basic rule of Macro Economy on a free market.

Inflation is influenced rather by surplus of money or goods, while there is a lack of money or goods on other side.

Cambodia didn't became suddenly a next Singapore, and their people didn't become suddenly more educated, so the inflation and price is not set by the rise of their economy and income.

But what happened is that more of westerners came to Cambodia, and started to trow money around themselves, which did push the prices up.

If some idiot comes to a country, and pays them for 3 days a monthly wage, why would the other girls then demand less?

So you have a 30% Difference in Profit, do you want me really to believe that in past 5 years, Cambodia raised economy by 30%?

In my vision SoulBrother is right. Prices in PP increased way more over the last ten years than anywhere else in SE Asia.

Up to 5 years ago, it was a quite common 30-20-10 dollar rule. 30 for LT, no BJ was - 10, shower and dress after 1st round was. Another 10 and with just 1 dollar motorbike tip a girl walked out often with just 11 dollar. Talking now about Street 104 bars, excluding Rose Bar where the girls pretended to be more upscale than all other bars. And never any issue the day after when you returned to the same bar. Also the time of all the Viet girls in Walkabout, 15 dollar ST. And ST up to 2 hours. OK when you paid 10.

They would ask for 15 but then you added 1 as tip for motorbike. Virtually no questions.

I still like Cambodia, PP and SHV but to get a girl with reasonable looks for LT will simply cost at least double and because nowadays they make more from LD's than years ago, they are not so willing to leave around midnight, what is about my time for horizontal activities. Therefore I love places like Udon Thani where there is a strict bar close at midnight.

I just spent the better part of two weeks in Phnom Penh, and I'm sorry to say that I didn't spend a lot of time in girl bars. In fact, I only took one bar girl home the whole time. My experience with girl bars and bar girls, however, are as follows: the night I landed it was kinda late when I got in so I passed out and woke up around midnight. I decided to head to Candy Bar. It was a Wednesday night, so I instantly got swarmed by girls; there were something like 7-8 girls all trying to rub my shoulders and get me to grope them. Of course they were trying to get me to buy them drinks (which I did) and play games with them (which I did). This went on for probably over an hour, maybe two. I know because my clothes smelled like cigarettes when I left, and I don't smoke. Anyway, I decided to take one of the girls home (cute, looked 19-21, nice thighs and ass, but when she pulled her tits out they looked a little deflated. Which was a small mystery because I didn't see a ton of stretchmarks, though there were a little, and I didn't see a cesarean section scar but her pussy was nice and tight), and I paid for her barfine and all the girl drinks and it came to a grand total of $41. I gave the girl $25 for our ST romp. It was basically a quickie, not a 2 round ST stay. She tried to upsell me, but I was not about to be swindled.

I popped my head into a few other girl bars, but I didn't take any other girls home. There was a girl with a nice rack in Angry Birds, but when I realized they were fake I lost interest. There was a really cute young number in Peaches, but she doesn't go with customers. Buyer beware. That thing all the other gents are saying about "make sure the girl will leave with you" is absolutely true; I was so disappointed. Fortunately I figured that out before I bought more than one drink. There were literally no other attractive girls in the joint; stay away from Peaches.

The place I got dragged into more than once by the girls outside was Heartbreak. It's a karaoke bar that they can make into a smallish dance club if they or you feel so inclined. You can smoke weed in there; it's the only girl bar that allows it that I was able to find. Anyway, the first night I paid a little over $20 in lady drinks and didn't take any girls home despite several advances from a few girls. The second time I went in, they totally screwed me. After 3 rounds of drinks (the third of which I didn't want at all, and insisted that only 3 girls got drinks for. Which of course they billed me for 6) the total with no barfines came out to be $66! WTF! Needless to say I was very disappointed. They even tried to sell me marked-up weed. If you happen to go to Heartbreak and see a girl you like, barfine her ass and leave; don't pay stupid prices for lady drinks like I did. Maybe don't buy lady drinks for the whole bar either.
