I'll be visiting the Phils on 18 and 19 Feb. I've actually done rtf but couldn't find any potential areas for a hobbyist to explore in the ortigas area in Manila. Would anyone like to enlighten me? It would be appreciated. I usually contribute in the China and Hong Kong section so I've done my share of contribution.

I assume that you are working whilst here hence the reason for staying in Ortigas.

It is a great area in which to live BUT there is no action around here unless you have some pinoy mates who will take you north to some local bars in Cubao or Quezon Ave. (20 mins away) or to some seedy local strip joints on Shaw Boulevard.

Very few pick-up girls in the malls in Ortigas (although some guys boast they get them, but I think l they exaggerate a lot).

If you only have 2 days, head south to the end of EDSA to the EDSA International Entertainment Center (the taxis know it as "the EDSA bars opposite Heritage") or to Makati (half way between Ortigas and EDSA IEC) and go to either Greenbelt or Burgos Street.

Plenty of info on the Forum under Makati or Manila to help you with the MO for both EDSA and Burgos.

Too far to go to MBC unless you go later at night otherwise you will use up a lot of time travelling there and back and for a newbie alone the area can be a bit daunting.

Ok so I'm not exactly new at having Manila visits, and had my first 2011 trip last weekend.
