i'm going to pi for the first time next month. i am not into the bar scene as i don't drink much and i just can't see myself buying lady drinks and paying the bar so that a woman can leave. i am into the freelance/disco scene. i was planning on going to ac and staying in pacific breeze. however, after rtff all the way back to 2007, it appears that the fl scene in ac is pretty much non-existent, limited to **** scams, or involves targeting women who's primary job is actually working in stores at the shopping mall. it seems that la cafe in manila would be more my cup of tea. somewhere i can go in, talk a little trash for a few minutes, and leave right out with my prospect. is my conclusion spot on?

The main attraction of said bar's is they are arguably the cheapest in S.E. Asia & almost all the girls in them bareback without question. This can be a good thing or a bad thing depending on how badly you wish to die of AIDS.

Cafe [Manila] is way over rated IMHO but if you wish to maintain the pretence that the girl gives a rat's ass about you as a person then it would fit the bill however it is closed pending a routine moral outrage/shakedown operation by the government. Amazonia bar [Manila] nearby has stepped in to fill the void.

There are dozens of non-p4p disco's/bars in Manila where you can chat up girls & drag them off to your hotel. The PI is a third world country where virtually all women are keen to hump you for a chance at gaining a remittance boyfriend or husband. No skill is required. just go to a shopping mall, buy a coffee & wait for them to walk by smiling their 'for hire' smile at you.

If you hit a dry spell in Manila with the non pro's you can always find sex in massage places & the bars of EDSA & Burgos St.

Manila is full of women but it is very crowded/polluted. Maybe think about going to Cebu or Davao, nice beaches, hotels & of course hot & cold running vagina's.

you don't have to drink alcohol, you can order mineral water or soda pop or juice.

since this is your first time, you may not fully understand the ac bar format. in most cases, you still go into a bar, you still need to chat up a lady, and even then you aren't guaranteed you will leave with her. the girls have numerous ways of refusing a customer; on my period, i'm a virgin, i have to meet a friend, etc. in some of the big clubs, a lot of the girls are dancers. those big barfines are to discourage guys. you better have some good lines and a lot of cash if you want to get a "private dancer". (thank you tina turner).

some people who haven't been into these bars somehow imagine brothels where women are in some kind of servitude. this isn't the case. you would be more likely to get, "the owner isn't here tonight, so let me show you two of my assets" (i paraphrase of course).

and some imagination can work too. if a girl hasn't been overtly naughty, i politely ask, "would you like to go get something to eat? " or "is it okay if i pay your bar fine. " treat her like a gf and you'll often get the gfe.

i've done salesclerks and hotel maids in ac, but in each case i set up things on one of the chat sites first. and even then their background turned out to be less than squeaky clean.

although i feel uncomfortable with the negativity of a previous poster, i basically agree with what he says about mnl, cebu, or even davao as possible alternative to ac.

do you have to fly into mnl? how long is your holiday? i suggest you answer these question if you want more information, or more detailed info. x

Your reporting could be a little bit of a jaded, slanted view of things, over generalising on Metro Manila with over 10 million people.

If you look at all the forums on ISG, you will see that The Philippines, including Manila and Angeles City get a lot of positive reports and represents great value for money for the majority of people.

IMHO and based upon my twenty plus visits since 2006 and having offices there for business.

Why AV, you've become a cynic! Here I honestly thought that the come hither glances of rapturous fascination that I get from twenty-somethings were attributable solely to my dashing good looks, dynamic and fascinating personality, engaging smile and nice clothes. Now you've ruined the Filipina experience for me forever.. Guess I'll just have to go to a less commercial, more honestly up front place like Pattaya.

I always said no "No Bus" for me, but last month I went to Subic for two days and then AC for three days. My Subic buddy was going up on the Southern Cross bus and so we booked it for 600P! WOW what a great ride. I will ride their bus more.

I don't think the bars are the cheapest in SE Asia.

I agree that it is a bit of a shit hole, but it can be fun at times.

My last visit there, unfortunately was the worst ever. Dry pussies, more runners, and greedier.

Amjeck is on target. AC has changed. It has become more expensive, everything needs to be negotiate up front and then half will not be completed. Short time, one hour or less in hotel, if that is the plan, can cost you, serveal drinks before you leave to the hotel for girl, hostess and friends than bar fine plus tip can add up to 2-3k fast. Long time if that is what you call it today means hitting a few bars, drinks and a meal than back to hotel by 3 AM fun and leaving at 6 AM this can set you back a nice 3-5K dependent on meal and drinks. BB if that is possible best be negotiated up front most will not go with you when you ask and the communication will be on the fields net before you leave the club that is what you look for with a girl. Now there is the exception to all of this if the girl see you as a weeks meal ticket. That will certainly cost you. Smile and have fun.

I thought it was just me, but after talking to others I've found that it is indeed a change for the worse. Not the end of the world, but definately requires much more work than before. My biggest surprise is the lack of young good looking girls available now. Sure there are still sexy girls over 22yo, but if you like the 18-20 yo group, slim and hot, then it's really slim pickings.

All in all, not as much bang for your buck in AC anymore.
