Some users have reported that late night arrivals can get hustled to $120 K COP, but that could be a confidence / approach issue. This is the main reason the hotel collects and copies your passport and entry stamp, legal evidence as to why they did not collect VAT tax. This applies to almost every country in the world. My neighbor filed the papers at the airport more than three years ago for taxes the hotel and other miscellaneous places charged. I arrived one night around 2 PM and a white taxi driver said 110 K, and since he was the only driver available, and I was wasted from flying so long I just said okay fuck it let's go.

I didn't want to screw around over about $ 2 USD at 2 AM in the morning and just wanted to climb in the sack.

If there had been more than one taxi driver available I might have raised hell, but sometimes they will all try to hose you as this happens a lot with the yellow taxis like in and around Zona Rosa and at the Poblado Metro station if there is a shortage of taxis, especially if your a foreigner, and a Friday or Saturday night.

I Just recently got in a yellow cab at the Poblado Metro Station, and was headed up towards the Tesoro area and the driver gave me a fixed price when I asked him to turn on the meter so I just got out of the cab and found another one. If you are able to pick up a yellow taxi at a designated pick up spot for them, like at EXITO in Pobaldo, they won't try to pull a stunt like that.

This past Monday I had a flight out of Medellin and reserved a pick up in Poblado, with the same white taxi company that works out of Rio Negro and the posted rate on their website for pick up from Medellin to Rio Negro was only 90 K, and they were very punctual.

And as far as the posted rate of 98 K well as some may not be aware of, that's the posted rate from portions of Medellin like Poblado posted in all the yellow taxis.

And sometimes at the airport when there are no taxis available that sometimes occurs during the day, you will have to wait for one to show up and will be paying 98 K but again have to wait a awhile so you can always go to the departure level and look for someone being dropped off and snag a ride.

I have only had to do this on one occasion, and as an example, if it's a yellow taxi they will be happy to take you because they are not licensed to pick up passengers at the airport so they just return to the City as the 98 K fare actually includes the toll fare both ways.

I consistently arrive late due to the airline schedule. Have the same problem with the hustle. I am not going to going to fuck around over a few dollars. I am long past worrying about that in order to facilitate my personal comfort.

I am not going to describe each encounter, I'll just summarise as follows:

- Out of 5 girls, only 1 didn't provide GFE (but she had the best ass).

- Looks / body wise they were 7. 5-9's for me.

- As far as I remember. Ages were 18/19/19/21/23.

- 2 didn't want to use condoms and in the heat of the moment I went along with it (never done this before. Ever). 1 of them didn't let me pull out. She was on top.

- Prices were 250 k-350 k + 50 k for taxis.

- I did encounter a fair few scam profiles. In 2 cases I found out they were scammers pretty late in the process. 1 I was able to spot just before arranging for meet up. They used photos of some OF model that I was able to reverse image search eventually (had to try each photo). 1 was indistinguishable from a real profile (I. E. I met up with another real FB girl who had a very similar profile). I don't know what they wanted but they played along all the way through arranging a meet up and even saying they are ready to catch a taxi. Then nothing. Fortunately someone else was available at last minute, so it was fine.

I'm coming back to Medellin in a few weeks and planning to repeat all of my FB girls and try to find a few more.

If anyone wants to exchange contacts for FB girls. DM me, but please be aware I'm very picky and don't get mad if I decline your offers. Also, obviously I can only vouch for my experiences. Your mileage may vary.

Also, post a few public things so that someone looking at your page still gets a sense of who you are. Your humor, your interests, etc.

I have a feeling that instagram is the way to go these days. I haven't had an issue connecting with chicas on Facebook, but something is telling me it would be easier to connect with younger women on that platform. Since it's a younger person's app. But maybe because Colombia has lots of older gringos coming who use Facebook chicas have adapted to that to connect. Then because the chicas are there, more mongers show up and it's a self reinforcing cycle.

Can we crowdfund a documentary into the use of social media for hoeing around Colombia? Who were the pioneers? Key moments? How Facebook policy changes affected the market?

Older gringos actually don't use Facebook very much. Rather, older gringos go on Facebook because girls in Medellin are on Facebook. Girls were on FB first and that is why gringos go searching there.

When you ask them to send a picture a certain way to prove it actually them they don't. When you ask to call them on video they make up an excuse. They did share the location live and it was where they told me. But without a video call can't prove anything which they won't do.

There are multiple different pics of chics (one that is legit and I've met) as well as pics of Jessica Rabbit who is a somewhat famous IG'er and pornstar from Barranquilla. You can do a reverse image search if you want to do a quick check on an account's authenticity.

IG takes a little longer and more prima donnas, but you can find some real lookers. I find they typically want more than the FB girls by 100 k or so premium, but some of them will go out with you simply to have a nice dinner at a fashionable place. I've had some freebies.

With some time and effort, you can avoid the scammers and unattractive girls. There are a number of young attractive girls available on Facebook for a reasonable price. You just have to take the time to screen the girls and find the good ones. I would agree if you don't have the time before your trip, don't go on Facebook looking for girls. You do have to pay for transport because they tend to live in Bello but you can pay for the taxi when it arrives at your place and not in advance. So far no girl has not looked like their pictures on their FB profile. I have been impressed with with the quality of the girls that I have found on FB and their performance in bed. But to each, his own and you should do what you think is right for you.
