Most of the guys that stay there have not spent a lot of time in Colombia, and seeing a tax on a Hotel room would be nothing new to anyone.

To avoid having to pay the tax to DIAN which is the equivalent of the IRS here more or less, the establishment must have a copy of their Passport showing the date of entry and that they were issued a tourist visa.

So factually speaking, they earn an additional 19% as net income on their nightly rates when they pull that stunt as my bet is that they don't get called on it much.

Makes you wonder how long they have been getting away with this.

I am getting so many responses on Tinder I can't even deal with them any more. But the few I actually tried to move forwards gave me red flags of scam right away.

Would you agree that it is extraordinarily rare to none-existent and therefore a red flag when the WhatsApp profile you're eventually be talking to has no picture? I do not believe there is any girl in the world who doesn't have a profile picture. Or rather, only fishy weird ones who have something to hide.

I wasted some time on one of them, thought we'd go out and she just delayed and delayed. And once asked me for taxi money. I said, I'm going to send my Uber to you, just give me your address. No reply. Late reply. I ultimately gave up.

So now I get what you mean, probably a lot of fakes on Tinder, because another one without a profile pic. I didn't even continue.

They copied my passport when I entered.

There's a setting to only show your picture to contacts.

As far as the girl wanting to request her own taxi, that's totally normal and common, and really I don't blame them. It's normal to pay the cab once they arrive but of course you should never send before because there's no reason to.

I agree it's not unusual that girls ask for their own taxis. I don't agree to it because I prefer to be able to track their progress rather than wonder when or whether they are going to arrive. I also don't like someone who may or may not be known to the girl arriving with her. If they want to get their own taxi on the way out I'm ok with that.

I think it's easy enough to set up a separate uber account for this purpose. I haven't bothered doing that but I'm very interested to know what problems I am causing myself by using my own account.
