I was thinking about the Thai club so I went back to my place to get the ATM card but only to find out the entire system was down SP the ATM does not work either. I have been in this area too frequently and that is why I am looking at Keelung or Linsen to start off on a clean slate. The other night, as soon as I poked my head up from the MRT Station across from the temple, my "previous been-with" ladies immediately spied me and moved in like sharks and a bit too aggressive with pouts and all the things that that women do to try and lay a guilt trip on you. It is hard to walk away when you once spent a lot of quality time with someone and she treated you very well, even fed you and gave you plenty of extra time and invited you for the night. So, I make an excuse and say that I am here just to grab a bite before work and buy her some food and drinks.
Moved on down to Kangding and noticed the epicenter inside the building leading to the alleys and lining the infamous stairway by the elevator was a bit crowded with some Vietnamese girls, the ones that missed the last plane out before the pandemic. Prior to the pandemic, this area was flooded with very young and attractive Vietnamese girls and if this problem ever subsides, they will be back. The local price in that area is the standard NT1500 for the 20 minutes. But surrounding that area outside of that center on Kangding Street, a lot of ladies but with more hardened, jaded looks. Even though physically attractive, I did not want to take a chance with a nasty lady just giving me the basics with no sweetness at all. So, I passed.
Huaxi is a mixed bag. The streets are the older ladies and the deal must be made in the street with respect to your needs and price. Otherwise, the session will devolve into her inviting her girlfriends in and paying them all a little something but no real hardcore satisfaction besides a lot of touching. But, there are some lovely young girls upstairs doing Karaoke and once in the tea room, anything goes. Always have to give the owner bringing the tea NT100 and the girl is usually very satisfied with NT1000, or a little less or a little more. But NT1000, all-in, usually satisfies a girl who is not money-crazy.
But it is amazing how these girls spot their old customers. They really have great eyesight. But the thing that keeps me coming is the tremendous value if you play your cards right. Because there are still some pretty flowers amidst all the weeds and at a price that does not break the bank at all. Really affordable.
As the night wears on into 9:00 and 10:00, I notice the activity starts to shut down, probably by order of police enforcement. And most importantly the police are really, really, really all around this area making sweeps. The police come and then they go and the girls do the exact reverse and disappear and reappear. And this cat-mouse game goes on all day, into the evening. So, you just have to hang loose and show up at the right time.
I do like the street experience and the variety. I understand some guys prefer a nice safe apartment, and are willing to pay for it. The bar scene with a party girl could be fun but I never had much practice in that scene and quite honestly, I would rather get drunk alone.

I do like the Vietnamese girls very much. I have found them to be a bit protective at first, but once they get to know you, forget it; they are like girlfriends. Sometimes no Mandarin and no English, but you can just smile and be with each other and let nature take over. There are a few Vietnamese girls there that are quite attractive with no Mandarin, and great English. I mean, what a treat to have a totally English conversation with jokes and laughter and kidding and playing around and flirting and teasing, totally in English and in a back alley in Taiwan. Most of these girls are independent contractors. But, I have had an occasion where a Viet refused 1.5 K in Kangding and wanted 2 K and her mamasan told her to take the 1.5 K. But that is only for 15 to 20 minutes.
Before the pandemic, there were a few herds of girls which were sometimes a vey nice assortment and they seemed to have a supervisor that they are answerable to. I have seen them move in all together with a leader and just fully freshened for the night and dressed to kill, properly adorned, each one looking better than the next. But, they moved in unison and then spread out but always kept contact with each other like good friends do.
But, aside for those few young herds, the girls seem to be lone wolves. And, there is another section in the alleys where the room is ground level with a glowing red light, and they leave the door open, a bit, and they want 2 K. And, they were lookers. But recently, the inventory has not been replenished, so no fresh faces. But, for me, at my age, decent, not fat, well-groomed and in good shape with an energetic appealing smile, well, that is as good as it gets, for that kind of money.
Huaxi Guangzhou is a true blast for the past. Those old wooden tea rooms have an ancient but old charm to them and you can pick up the vibes from the old Taiwan era, maybe back to the Japanese occupation. You definitely have to sniff your way around there because there are no hard rules in place. If you hit it off with a girl or lady, she will take care of you in a very charming way.
I like the old Japanese name for these women. They used to call them "comfort women. " But, I have never explored the full variety there. I sat and had my tea or water and was provided roasted seeds in the shells and depending on the lady and the deal, you get what you pay for. But, 1.0 K can do it. But I have seen other rooms with wild drunk elderly men with plenty of liquor and very pretty young ladies running downstairs and returning with bottles of liquor to keep the men drunk, singing and the tips flowing.
Oddly enough, a girl was sweet to me and knew that I hated to be rushed and I needed a place to hang out. So, she would service me until she got a call in another room for a party but always returned to me and we continued until she got another call.
It depends what you need to do on any particular night. Maybe you just need a quick release to clean out the system, and in that case the 1 K, 1.5 K works well. On other occasions when you feel a bit melancholy or lonely you might require some slow warmth with a "comfort woman," which leads to a final release.
Back in the 80's, wow, so many lovely shops all over the place with frosted glass windows with butterfly designs and rapid colorful barber pole lights that were not completely vertical but on an angle, and you could get massaged and taken care of by a lovely young lady and take a sauna and shower and just sleep there for the night. (those were the days, my friend).
