[/QUOTE]I think when you wrote TSA (Transportation Security Administration) you actually mean ICE (Immigration and Customs Enforcement). I have never had any problems with immigration. Sure I have had to go put my bag through agriculture a couple of times, but nothing like I read from some people on the forum. I have never seen them interested in pornography as some people state. As many bootleg dvds that I have had the couple times they have actually hand searched my luggage they have not said a word about it. They might ask you power up your computer just to see the screen light up, but they don't go through files or anything. What they are actually looking for is drugs. They could give a rats ass about that other stuff. Like when I bring in my crocodile products and used to report them on the customs form. They guy would always laugh and say man we are not worried about that kind of stuff.
If people were really interested in avoiding the harassment, as some have put it, then it would be in their best interest to get Global Entry [url]http://www.globalentry.gov/[/url] so they can go directly to the machine and avoid human interaction. There are only 4 questions you have to answer at the machine. One is the currency in excess of $10, 000 and another is about if you have been around livestock. The other two I can not remember but I always answer no to all 4. And the computer already knows what flight you came from so you just confirm it and it prints out your card to hand to the guy on the customs end as you are passing through. Only $100 for 5 years and you will save a lot of time and not have to worry about being questioned/harassed.

Our cultural abrasions and how we deal with them depend on life experience and how small or large that window has been. Having said that, the seasoned monger can have a little distorted view. Spending too much time with desperate people who's job it is to kiss your ass can give you a false sense of your own importance. Happy mongering, but keep it real.
Since we are in the process of comparing the two termas, yes, if you want to spend slightly less then 502 is a better option. In terms of value, especially those of us who like to take maybe 2 or 3 garotas per visit, now that 502 decided to raise prices they have erased themselves as a vialble option for the siple fact that 4 X 4 continues to waive the 50 real entrance if you session before 5:00pm. Fifty reals trumps 3 free (20 reals for the entrance) drinks at 502.
In addition, someone quoted 9 reals for a Heineken at 4 X 4, how about 8 reals for a bottled Skol? Six reals for water or juice? Jeez! Still can't stack all of that with the value included with the facilities, quality entertainment, and just ass everywhere feeling one gets when at 4 X 4.
So if you session twice in one day or take two gals simultaneously at both places for an hour or split them up, at 502 now you are talking about 400 reals (3 drinks included) vs 440 at 4 X 4 (Buy your own drinks). So for about $25 more dollars plus drinks I can go to 4 X 4 instead of 502? They've made the decision for me easy as I'll be growing roots AWAY from 502. In my humble opinion, they used to be a good value; not anymore.

I always struggle to find something I like at 44. I personally like slimmer morenas. 502 at the moment has more women for my tastes than 44 has. It is a matter of taste. Certainly can't argue about the facilities. 502 is a dump. 44 is less of a dump, still a dump by world standards though.
It will be interesting to see how the local guys react to the price increase at 502. The local clients at 502 are a lot less well off than their 44 counter parts. Your average local clients at 44 have cash. 502 clients are very much working class guys that pay their R$20 entrance and drink beer. Going into winter as well 502 could see a big drop off in business. This actually benefits this cowboy! Less ass grabbers competing for the women!

The thing is you don't know what you have until it is gone. I know people that couldn't stand Club Help. But even if you don't like music and the club scene Help brought girls from outside Rio. Without help there is a lot less girls in Rio.

If I remember correctly, it is a wooden door and there is a buzzer.

Now I'm not even sure if I went upstairs the last time I was there- I can easily get confused when visiting lots of places. Bottom line- don't take my word for it. Just seems odd they didn't answer their telephone either.
