Everybody is making valid points on both sides. And to be honest, I can't see why it wouldn't be in the interest of a monger with money to burn to burn it in whatever way he wants, to party like a rock star, providing he visits Tijuana only once or twice in his life.

But after ten years of mongering in Tijuana, I can say that unlike other places (Europe, Brazil, Thailand) paying more doesn't get better service, especially if you frequent Tijuana. I'm not sure what's going on their chica heads. Perhaps it's all part of the nice guy syndrome: women can't get wet for guys that treat them well.

My advice is for mongers to find out what the going rate is, offer it before they make their offer, and send them packing if they don't like your offer. If they do accept, tip them after the session if you feel they gave it a personal touch. If not, leave it at a thank you. I promise you she'll go up with again even if you don't tip.

But the other problem with overpaying is that's inflationary and, in turn, throws your less affluent brother mongers under the bus, importantly our Mexican counterparts who, through their dickering and steady patronage, have worked so hard to keep the chicas cheap and on the streets. We owe them that respect.

If and when it gets to a point where they cannot afford the local prostitutes, those guys aren't going to care if the voters sweep the chicas off the streets, as has been done in the US and other first world nations. And away goes the eye candy, to say the least.

P. S. DDD, if you only feel 'them up, and if you have not been to Madonna's and some of the other strip bars on Revolution near 9th, you should visit those places. The women are consistently better looking than anything in the Zona.

Last week Chicago Club was using 12 to 1 as their internal exchange rate. This week it was raised up to 13 to 1. Last night at Chicago Club I set up a tab of $200 on my ATM card. They ran it through their machine as 2600 pesos. $186. 00 was debited to my bank account. That means I got 13. 97 to one last night through my bank. If you want to do this or use your card at one of the ATM machines in Tijuana, make sure that your bank does not charge a foreign transaction fee. Most banks do and it runs 3% to 5% depending on the bank. My bank does not charge a foreign transaction fee.

There was a clique of about 4-5 stunners there up until about a year ago like Stefani. I'll usually stop in every time I'm down there (a few times a month) , I'll get a cold drink and avoid the crowds of the other bars and relax.

It is sad I'll walk in and there will be 5 customers. 5 meseros and 5 girls (none of them up to my standards). I go back to HK or AB and they're packed to the rafters. Even three years ago Chicago would be crowded at about 11pm Thu-Sat

Unfortunately, every visit lately, is disappointing. Very few girls, most are eh at the best. If you do see something that could be decent, they don't even have a pulse. About 2 years ago, I stopped in after doing a AB girl, and was immediately approached by a hottie with a personality. Unfortunately, I left my leche across the street.

I go to HK and AB in the morning and early afternoon before the sausagefest starts. There is something about squeezing my way past sweaty men with hard ons that just doesn't do it for me. Like you, I have developed my techniques to weed out the good providers from the rest. I speak fluent Spanish, which helps but it also helps to be able to hear the other side of the conversation, which I find impossible to do when they crank the music up at HK and AB.

It is hot and smells of BO and desperation. Lots of guys will get paralyzed when they see a foam show for the first time and just stand there in the middle of the aisle. I visit all three bars in a progression when I go but Hong Kong is too hot and crowded, Chicago is too dead, so I end up at Adelita most to the time. I have a few favorites there, it isn't' as packed as HK and they will turn the AC on when it is crowded so it isn't a sweat lodge like HK.

I swear I didn't imagine it but in 2008 or so I was there and there was a 100% Chinese girl working there who was an acrobat on the pole and that ring on the stage. She was super duper popular with the Asian guys and I was in town for just one weekend and didn't have a chance to get with her. It wasn't Lizete, this girl was very thin with an athletic build, and again, quite the dancer. I haven't seen her or anyone like her in Tijuana since. Back then on a weekend night it was standing room only and there were always dancers on the main stage and those little mini stages in the back. I'd love to see Chicago have a return to that.

For instance a ficha drink was 84 pesos and now is 91 pesos but remains at 7 dollars[/QUOTE]I've noticed that bars like HK / AB / Chicago will price their drinks in dollars and float the peso cost based on currency fluctuations so you it is hard to take advantage of fluctuations unless you do thinks like open a tab but I'd guess that the person that ran the card through wasn't good at math and gave you a bonus. Of course, as a good customer you deserve a great rate. And it isn't bad for the bar since that means you'll spend it all there.

The girls in these clubs will also price themselves in dollars and adjust the peso rate based on the exchange rate. Most use the rate posted in the bar or something close. But some are like Banamex and get pretty precise when you're paying in pesos. For this reason, for many of my jaunts into Tijuana I'll just pay in dollars and skip trying to save money through arbitrage.

You can also tell the primary currency in a bar by how hard it is to get change. At AB / HK any mesero can break a US$20 but he has to go back to the bar to break a 200 peso note and definitely has to for a 500 peso note. The final test is how Hong Kong now has Coors Light as the beer at the door you have to buy to get in instead of the local Tecate. Fortunately you can change that warm gringo beer in for something cold at the bar.

You go into the second tier mostly locals market where everything is priced in pesos and you'll see the paso prices remain constant over time and the dollar prices fluctuation. Most of these club girls and the paraditas are less likely to keep up with the exchange rate and so your dollar can go farther there.

Been coming down south about once a month but haven't written lately because I have been meeting up with a favorite and doing things away from the zona.

During this time, I didn't go into the clubs to check out the talent. Anyways, went down this past Sunday stayed overnight and came home on Memorial day. I took the train which cost $36. 00 from L. A. To San. On Sunday. Then the cost jumped up to $45. 00 coming back on Monday.

Although it takes longer to get there, it was nice not having the pressures of driving. Also for a Sunday, there was alot of traffic on the Freeway. There were streches when all you saw were red brake lights.

Once there, I visited a / be, t / be, lc, and Valentinas. I will write about those in their forums.

I exchanged money at the cambio next to the mcdonalds by the trolley. It was better than anything I saw in Tijuana. The rate there was 13. 055 to 1.

After checking into the Ticuan, my favorite texted me and said she couldn't make our designated time which was for 15:00. Instead she said she couldn't make it until 19:00.

That was okay by me, I could check out the clubs and see what I've been missing.

Wasn't really planning on doing anyone but one girl at L / see caught my eye and I bought her a drink. Her name is Monserrat. Only been at the club for a month. She has a pretty face but when the clothes came off, she had a bigger belly than what I had thought. She has a great personality and was better than average upstairs.

She is a great kisser, didn't rush and we did about three positions. But I don't think I will repeat because there were better looking girls who I would like to try. In fact, l / see for this day, had the better looking chicas than the other clubs. I paid her $600 mx.

Not a bad start to the day, especially since I had to kill some time.

Also, I did go back to l / see after my meeting with the favorite, and I saw a slim black hair chica that looked pretty good. Before I could get to her, another monger flagged her down. I asked one of the waiters I know to let the chica know that when she was done with the other person, to come on over.

The waiter came back and said I got bad news. It looks like she was going to be tied up all night. So, I asked him what her name was and he said Camille.

So if anyone knows her, is she worth seeking out for the next time?

By the way, after hooking up with the favorita and enjoying every minute with her, she was hungry so I suggested the tapas place at Caesars hotel that someone had recommended here. We got there around 21:30 and I guess it's closed on Sunday. Bummer, so we tried next door to the main restaurant and unfourtunately they just closed also.

We didn't want to travel far so we ended up at Sanborns. Not highly recommended by me. It was okay, but nothing else. Bland and not cheap. What was good was plenty of room to eat and relax. I told my favorita, next time, we eat first then we do the boom boom. LOL.

Since it was the end of the holiday, there was more traffic going back home than I ever saw in a long time. Thank heavens, I have my Global entry card. It is worth it's weight in gold.

But today, it was a hastle just to get to the border with all the cars going back. I finally told the driver to let me off across from the hotel Pueblo Amigo, and even then it took some time because of all the traffic. Without going through the sentri line, I would have missed my train

I think there is only one left in the Zona. Mermaids. Again, search the board for more infor. Reviews have been so-so. I don't think the one on Coahuila and Revu is still around.

There is one on 7th, near Ticuan Hotel. New Body, I think? Search for it, there are a couple of good reviews.

Tijuana is really not the place for massage parlors.
