The Horizon Club. Mandalay is out for sure. There is another disco called the Atlantis which seems to be in the in place as well. Do becareful at Atlantis as the waiters will try to screw you with the mixers and charge you more.

At the entrance, to the right is a Disco and to the left is Hip-Hop with band at certain hours.
There are some girls with tag on the clothes stand along the corridor, I think must be the hostess.
I was there at the Hip-Hop place, with one of my friend. The hostess approach me in thai, but I only understand a bit, so I pointed to my friend, but she walk away. I think you can ask them to sit with you for a drink at some price, cause we saw alot people with them.
The band is good with three SYT singer.
I've been reading back through these posts today, and have found some places that seem worth checking out in person, but I don't see any locations given for them:
1. CEC (what does that stand for? Where is it? and what is it exactly?)
2. Sakura
3. Sayuri
thanks
Wendella,
This is an extract of an old report I posted 8 months ago
The CEC is what I called site 2 ..... hope you can follow the directions !
On the eastern side of the walled city the Tha Phae gate is the easiest reference place. I will describe most of my directions from there. It is half way down the Eastern Wall with a big sign on it and a pedestrian area nearby.
SITE 1 = Gogo bar called “Moonlight”. This is located on the road parallel to Moon Marg on the outside of the moat (Thanon Kotchasan). Start at the Tha Phae gate. Cross the moat cross the road in front of you and trun right to walk down the pavement on the far side of that road. “moonlight” is about 50m – 75m on this road on the left.
I went in to moonlight a few times during happy hour for a 1st beer of the night. I didn’t thing the quality in there was great. It is a laid back place. Unless you call a girl over they will not come over and hassle you. So if you just want a beer and a view (if too early in the evening for serious business it is a place you can just pop into.
SITE 2 – Girly Bars ….. These are located on Thanon Loi Khraw close to the corner with Thanon Kotchasan. Start at the Tha Phae gate. Walk South on Moon Marg (inside moat), stay on the gate side of the road. Walk for 3 / 4 minutes until the next break in the moat with a road over it …. Traffic travelling into the walled city. Go over the moat against the flow of traffic. You will see a junction ahead of you this road is on Thanon Loi Khraw. The girly bars are over the next 30m of both sides of the road on Thanon Loi Khraw and to the left for maybe 3 or 4 bars up Thanon Kotchasan.
SITE 3 --- CEC
Find the conrner of Thanon Loi Khraw. Follow Thanon Loi Khraw (one way but you are now going with the traffic for maybe 50m. - You are heading away from the walled city not parallel to the wall) The CEC is a collection of beer bars (in a complex) on the Right hand side of the road. I ALWAYS LOOKED FOR THE FEDEX sign as a reference point to turn right !! not sure if it is still there !!

Moonlight is called Spotlight.
CEC is never actually called CEC, the best way to get there is to head for Star Six (pronounced S'dar Sik) and you'll see the bar-beer centre (CEC) right next to it.
There are loads of places called Sakura in CNX, one is a bar in the CEC, another is a karaoke in Chiang Mai Land.
Sayuri is across the river.

bizarrely ended up at bubble last night.
fucking busy, but no longer the freelance fiesta that it was. instead about 200 hundred sweaty farang (m+f) and about twenty thai girls. most farang were dancing oblivious to the sparse rep001tering of girls, but plenty were just sat around staring, wishing they had the courage to approach a girl.
i, of course, knew every girl in there so (perhaps) looked like a real stud, or player, or something. a couple of guys asked me to introduce them to girls, which is odd as most girls are easily approachable- no need to be shy.
anyway, it's only good nowadays if you want a farang girl (or boy), then again i hated the place even in its freelancer heyday.
I was in Chiang Mai a few weeks back. I caught the limo service from the airport to down town. The driver was giving me the usual quiz on what I wanted to do whilst in Chiang Mai, and suggested I check out the pandas at the zoo, or take and elephant ride near Mai Sa, or go to Doi Suthep to see the temple and so on. I showed no interest at all to any of his suggestions, mainly because I was dead tired and recovering from a slight fever.
Then straight out of the blue, he asked whether I wanted girls, and that he could provide a number of beautiful university students that evening for 3000 baht!! That brought me out of my coma although the 3000 baht for ST sounded a little steep, especially after having come from Burma where the going rate for LT was $20 to $30 USD with tight pussies to boot! His reasons for being ST was becoz the uni girls can't overnight because they have to get up bright an early for classes the next day! LOL!! My how things have changed since my own uni days! ;)
Anyway, if anyone wants the mobile number of this limo driver, send me a PM.
Sakaundeh, these girls are often not really students.
But, they're generally young and good-looking enough.

i must try that new horizons club but am on a fittness kick at the moment and not going out.
does anyone have updated prices for sayuri are they still the same? or do they put them up in peak season as they think everyone is a rich falang tourist.

Mai pen rai Coma Boy, .. doesn't matter so much that they're not real uni students as long as they turn up in that nice sexy tight fitting uniform that they all wear, I'll be happy. :D Funny how in Thailand, even uni students have to wear uniforms, hey?
Funny how in Thailand, even uni students have to wear uniforms, hey?
It's a wonderful, wonderful thing.
My buddy and I plan to arrive in Chiang Mai on Feb. 28 and depart March 4. If any of you are in town and want to join us for a drink and to compare notes, PM me. We will likely be staying at the Pagoda Inn. Also, if you have any advice to help a monger enjoy what CM has to offer, it will be appreciated.
Thanks to those of you who already have helped in this regard.
All the best,
LJohnson
