I was before 10 days in Rio, he help me very much the budha report and I had a very good company with some guys here from the forum.
Personal from my trip in Rio I check some termas and of course the help discoteque. I went to 4x4, solarium and monte carlo, every one of them had something diferent, for example the 4x4 for me had the most interesting girls for my taste but so many people, monte carlo had more relax place to move, to speak with a girl but no so many girls and solarium had very small place for to move but had some girls very pretty, for first time in Rio the termas wa a very good experience for me
Help discoteque. I had listen too much for this but I think for me is better to go simply for a drink with friends and to take a girl only 1 or 2 times in a week, personal I was lucky I took a girl who had birthday and she celebrate with me in my room hehehehehehe
Something who I could not to check was the game in the beach nad I think if I come back to Rio this is the first thing who I want to check because I had the sensetation that the game in the beach have more fun.

The action nearest to the Copacabana beach was at the intersection of rua Santa Clara and rua Toneleiro (about 5 blocks from Ave Atlantica,) where the police ambushed a van in which the bandits were attempting to flee the area. Police opened fire and killed 4 trafficantes. Most of the action occurred on the other side of the mountains in the bairos of Humaita and Botofogo. Police captured 18 banditos in the underbrush of the mountain. This was a very dangerous situation for residents of all of these communities.

Quite ironic that I should be able to provide an update after my post on thieves in Rio, but here goes. Embarrassing to admit, as one feels stupid for letting it happen. But we learn from our mistakes and those of others so am posting an account in the small hope that perhaps it will minimise such occurrences for other people.
[b]Mistake one[/b] I want to wear a new pair of shorts I bought last week from Rio Sul. Nice stuff. Would look good on the beach in Leblon or Ipanema but far to expensive to wear to Mimosa without attracting attention.
[b]Mistake two[/b] They only have one pocket. My usual practice, following the habit of many Brasilians, is to keep money for immediate use in one pocket and top-ups somewhere else. Yet even with just one pocket I would normally put stuff down the front of my pants or in my shoes. Tonight I don´t.
[b]Mistake three[/b] Getting rolled in VM is so rare it is easy to let one´s guard down (I´ve only been robbed once before, many years ago, out of hundreds of punts there.) The girl is doing constant chat and porno histrionics as I touch her. Instead of listening to warning bells – after all some girls start doing this just to try to please – I just focus on winning her round.
I went upstairs with about 120 in my pocket – what was left after calculating four punts and drinks if I stayed all night plus a taxi if the weather turned very bad. Checking my cash after I leave the casa I have 22R. I keep my cash in a rubber band – there is virtually no chance of ´dropping some´accidentally. Only the large notes had been taken. There was virtually no chance of getting the money back and this influenced how I handled it (will mention this in a subsequent post if people want to comment/contribute). Main harm was feeling a dumb-ass.
The casa was casa 10, roughly the second on the right as you enter the the U-alley when you come into VM. But I don´t think she was a regular there and the casa is not responsible for the girls. Her name is Sara and she´s a pretty young thing, probably early twenties. Mousey brown hair, well-kept appearance, average height and build. She was wearing a gold cross around her neck on Tuesday, and her firm breasts looked temptingly squeezable under her bra-less top. Half way through (presumably after accomplishing her mission) she quietened down and gave quite a reasonable performance.

Someone posted that the 2nd floor has cleaned its act up as far as the disgusting cabins are concerned.
I thought I´d just mention something as there are users here from all over the world. In the UK, the ´first´ floor of a building is the second storey, the one above ground level, whereas in America the first floor is the one [i]at[/i] ground level. Brasil seems inconsistent. Modern buildings tend to follow the American model and the ´first floor´ is the one at ground level. But at BA85 there is a notice as you go in I seem to recall that mentions casas on floors 1 to 6 (Brasil has a separate phrase for ground floor - andar térreo). As there are no casas on the ground level there, I have generally used the UK model and referred to the shit-hole floor as the ´second´ floor where Renata works. Americans might tend to think of this as the ´3rd floor´.
I went in the first floor that has casas yesterday afternoon (UK 1st floor, US 2nd floor) and the cabins were kind of ok, not brillliant. I don´t usually use that floor as most of the women seem rather hefty, but I got a nice slim blonde with a pretty face so didn´t go further.

Although the TV played it up I doubt if any tourists need worry. I stay on the Leme/Copa side, and didn´t hear anything. Last time there was a real battle I could see tracers lighting up the sky for hours. People were crossing NS Copa with care and huddling over their beers in Prado. But as Poucolouco says, not nice for the people living on the Botofogo side.
Has anyone been on this site Orkut. I guess it is google's version of myspace or facebook. One of my GDP friends who's now living in Switzerland told me she was on it. When I signed up and let the computer go through to scan for people I knew on there, I found a bunch of Help girls including Paula that I was with on my last night. It's funny how many of the girls on there have pics with the shinny blue walls of Help. Seems like this is the social networking site of the younger Brazilian generation.

Yes it is the social network site. If you have non pros you might want to watch how many GDP's you add on the site. I am trying to limit the GDP's while I work on my non pros. If you go to any of the internet cafe's you will see all the girls checking their orkut pages. What I am now doing with pros and non pros is to have my computer or go to the internet cafe and see a cute girl and ask can she add you as a friend. (put that in Porto it will help better.) You can use orkut to keep up with your friends.
Got to centro around 4pm. BA 85 had more guys than it did yesterday. Renata (pronounced Hey-nata) was standing outside the second floor again. The first floor still has the usual assortment of girls. Sometimes has live music, always has GDPs, usually off duty. Quite often retired and 60+ but they still have that look, that way of looking you up and down and ascertaining if your are a chump or not. Great place for fun but lets face it the foods not that great. Its the VM of restaurants.
