Mongering in Punta Cana.

Flying with BA from London direct to Punta Cana. Punta Cana not my first choice as suppose to be popular mostly with families and couples. Also visited two other p4p venues (bars with pros). One place I believe was called la punta (lively friendly pros inside). Those pros lived across the street in a place with a pool. A few of the pros went for a swim in their underwear late that night in that pool. Eleven years they were asking for $100US. Lots of new stuff has been built in punta cana / bavaro in the last 11 years (I haven't been back). You'll have fun. Other ISG members have more recent information regarding punta cana. If you take taxis or use a "tour guide" try to remember to ask the price before you get in a taxi or use a "guide". Some people use the screen on a cell phone to show the price. I believe another ISG member previously posted about a short term motel in punta cana, that was nice and not expensive.
