I think you finally have some wisdom, nice to see some one treat the girls as people rather than sex wholes for once, they say people pretty much treat you as you treat them, so if you give the girl a few bucks extra even if she doesn't ask for it. She will sense this and if you have her for round 2, this means better sex, bjs or whatever you are into with a better attittude. With my great experience I find that a tough negotiation ruins the mood for worthwhile nice sex.

Anyway to answer most of the questions that new mongers have about MDE I will give my sage advice.
1. If you have little or no Spanish and have a decent amount of money to spend then don't even hestitate just book CB1 or CB2.
2. Use the ATM machines.
3. Use condoms.
4. Take taxis, don't walk in high risk areas at night.
5. Don't get drunk and flash money or wear gold chains or fancy watches.
6. Be nice to the girls.
7. This is probably the most important thing. Stay away from Mayorista. It has only fat and ugly women. I must have had countless girls there and have never had a good experence with any of them. They always over charge me and beg for tips and money to buy them smokes and other unnamed substances. It is very, very dangerous in this area. I have stayed there many nights in the past 3 years and I can't tell you all the times I have been mugged and ripped off. Most of the time I bring very little money when I go out as I know at the end of the night someone will have taken it from me.
I felt I had to write this as I have read many guys commenting on Mayorista who most likely have never set foot in that area. So take it from a long suffering Vet of this foul area, Please stay away.

That's fine and true for you, and like you say, guys that are just passing through for a week or so, but believe it or not, there are guys that return frequently or live or semi-live in Medellin or whatever fantasy destination that do like dating non-pros, having a girlfriend, and maybe dabble in the PFP as well.
I agree that quick visits are much more geared for the PFP, but some guys just aren't into dating in the US .. and I'm one of those guys :)

2. The station which is near to "las casas" is parque de berrio, not poblado.
3. Don't wear expensive clothing or jewelry. Please, do not wear shorts (all tourists wear shorts)
4. Don't walk alone at night. Take a cab or the metro.
5. There are lots of cheap restaurants such as: Kokoriko (fried chicken) , Frisby, Crepes & Waffles, presto. Exito and Carrefour are popular supermarkets.
6. Usually young people speak english, paisas are very friendly and willing to help others.
11. Staying the first days in Casa Blanca is a good idea they can help you a lot.
7. I would recomend you hotels located in sector Estadio. Laureles rather the ones in the Mayorista.
8. I you hit the mayorista, you should always use condoms. (this apply to las casas, too)
9. Poblado is kind of the safest area, (Parque Lleras if the best option to have some drinks) , and Envigado is also nice.

asking the mansion for help when you are a guest is 100% free. they have never charged a fee for any service regarding females. they only ask that you be a guest. sounds like a fair business deal to me.

i saw the same fellow the next day and he had gotten several of the girls numbers already and would get more that day then leave the mansion since he had an apartment. not one time did he say that the mansion was a rip-off.
it's strange that so many guys that do not stay at the mansion seem to be the ones that have a problem with the mansion. i don't think many gringos want to waste time guessing their way through a vacation like you play ground.
whether it's help recommending the best casa girls or help inviting hot mansion girls, greg, robert, boyd and the staff are your best bet to start with.

What I want to say is I agree with what you just wrote. The old saying "you get more flys with honey than you do with vinegar". Glad to see some you treat the girls with respect and get great value for it.
Started out by going to Angles de Fuegos, decent slection, maybe 10 girls working but I didn't feel it. I had one beer and adios.
Next went to Sexy. 45D. Slim pickins. The girls were more into the house puppy. Maybe 6 girls working. I sucked down one beer, chilled for about 20 mins and bounced.
New Life. Melany from Sexy at 45D Has moved, maybe 12 girls working, good selection but I once again didn't feel it. Another beer and adios.
Tonight I will visit either Fase Dos, San Diego or Loutron. The prices go up but maybe something will motivate me.

Spent a couple of hours yesterday at Atena. It is my favorite place. Choo choo has put in a 36 inch high def next to the bar. An easy way to pass a couple of hours between sessions. The bummer he only had 5 girls when I was there but three were doable. And I did. Around 7pm I went to New Life and pulled Katarina. A good session plus the house guy comped my beer. Maybe he felt sorry for the lonely gringo on Valentines. By the way. There is a place near Parque Periodista that has live jazz on Mon and Sat that is not bad.
