Another economic solution?
...Only thing which can be done is decentralisation of the economy with local people starting their own factories producing products and selling. Other way is taxing big companies and giving the money to small entrpreners to start their industry...
Let's not forget the OFWs (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Overseas_Filipino#Economic_impact).
Maybe, export the one thing that's bogging them.
Angeles - Business as Usual-ish
a few notes from my visit to ac this past week:
- that story below about the investigators getting fired - that was also the team that shut down pony tails; word in knowledgeable circles was that the owner refused to pay a bribe, hence the shutdown.
- place was crowded as ever; no let up there. most bars still had multiple "doorgirls" outside, with the exception of the dollhouse group (which pony tails is part of).
- they announced that the pony tails girls would be in emperor's lounge (above club asia); i didn't recognize any of them, though, when i went to check it out.
- t-backs were also seen in places i'll leave to the imagination on a public board.
- dmia security confirep001ed my cheap $2 whisky at the gate. boo.
recommendations:
- dirty duck/forbidden city: terrible layouts, expensive ladies drinks, and extremely pushy staff, but damn if they don't have some of the wildest girls on fields at the moment.
- dollhouse - seems to have improved their collection as of late. more crowded than previously as well.
- black angus steak house - gf of hotel royal amsterdam - big, fresh (for ac) salad bar included in most entrees til 11, huge portions, good meat.
"un" recommendations:
- the international pub (formerly shano's) - changed their menu again, seems yet more expensive (and smaller)
- tropix - seems to be slowly dying the good death, but i could have gone there on an off night.
