It happens to me every time
It never happened to me. I have paid with Mastercard. I mean, you see the amount when you sign.
It must just be me; however, every time I used any card but Amex, especially in help and 4x4, what I signed was not what I was billed. I'm anal retentive about receipts and keep all to validate statements (scan mate). I have an Brazilian Chase with 5k Real in it that I swear every month to this day I have to dispute charges on an account that the visa Debit card is destroyed and I have not been to brazil in +2 years.
Me and my Dawg were in 4x4 from open to close on my 40th about 3 Augusts ago and sessioned 3 a piece. When I went to check out they actually looked disappointed that I paid in cash.
RIP Termas Aeroporto Sep. 1977 - Apr. 2011
I looked on GPGuia.net and it looks like they have been closed since at least Apr. 29th.
This ad is from the early 1980's, I remember whenever I got in a taxi in the 1980's they would hand me a pamphlet for Aeroporto and tell me what a nice place it was and what nice girls they had. During that time I only went once to a termas recommended by a taxi driver one afternoon with a group of friends.
So, were Aeroporto and 65 owned by the same group/person? If so, it may not be that great a loss for them, even if it is a (largely symbolic) loss for us mongers.
The pamphlet says they both offer medical checkup included with the entrance. I wonder what that entailed.
The girls there playing doctor, perhaps? :) ;) Before being taken down, their website advertised a barbershop and (male) masseuse. During my visit I vaguely recall the barbershop but it was behind a closed door IIRC and I didn't see anyone go in or out while I was there.
Help with a simple itinerary suggestion please
I've been reading quite a lot of posts and to be honest I'm totally confused. 4x4, terma, help. 502 etc.
Would appreciate if some of you experienced Rio dudes, could help by suggesting a simple weekend itinerary in Copacabana beach.
Perhaps if you only had a weekend and you were a newbie, where, what would you recommend?
Also how to get around, is it safe walking, need a taxi from a to be, late at night places to avoid.
Anyone want a cool wing (good with normal chicks but only English and Spanish speaking)? Or could suggest a guide too, that would be great. Probably safer then going around alone.
