East China - Shanghai

This one just got flagged:

Notice that there is nothing explicit or implicit in this message. I have no idea how to deal with Craig's list.

It's usually a kind of a fight against the ads of competitors.

Everybody on CL can 'flag for removal'. It seems that after reaching a certain number of 'flags' an ad is removed without any check of content.

It's not understandable for me why you are the victim, - except somebody is testing this 'flagging for removal' randomly.

Anyone who runs credit cards as part of a business knows that all it takes is a customer complaint to get charges reversed and the whole affair to go into "Visa Court" whereby both sides have to substantiate their claims. It would be easy for a punter to claim fraud or duress but difficult for a massage parlor to legitimately explain a 20K bill to Visa.

The Friday before last I had the desire for a good dark beer and there is nothing better then a fresh Salvator that is available during lent. Since I was by myself I decided to hang out at the bar at the Paulaner. I must admit I had no idea how much of a working place it had become. Rule number two, never follow a stranger to a place that you don't know and have not been before.

Rule number three, if they run a scam like this and there are many in Shanghai, please be mindful that the police will help little, as they probably have been paid off.

I placed the ad in shanghai travel / vacation services.

I am curious: where does it say on CL that one cannot place an ad if your IP is not in the region? There are several men advertising for wives who are doing so from the US.

As it was said, this is a IP filter CL use, because too many people try to post free ads for every city (for example real estate companies). But because CL don`t tell you, why your ad has been flagged, it should all be only conjectures.

After attempting to drink Shanghai dry on Friday night I had a much more relaxed approached towards Saturday night. Most likely this will be my last opportunity for an overnight punt for sometime.
