While I would agree that MDE is not the ideal travel destination, a trip there works just fine when it's 10 degrees in Chicago in January. Beautiful weather, beautiful chicas and the opportunitiy to refresh my Espanol.

Every avid traveler should go to Peru at least once to check out Cuzco and M. Picchu. Absolutely one of the top places to visit in all the World. And yes, Lima has fantastic food, culture, and beaches not too far away.

I think badmouthing any one destination is a bit ridiculous because most of these places are worth checking out at least once. Just going to the same place 15 times in a row seems boring to me.

Rio, MDE, Peru, DR, BA, Thailand, et al. If you've got the time and money, you should check out as many as possible. Not sure any is perfect (well Rio used to be!) , but they all have something to offer.

Funny thing, a friend dragged me out to New Life the other day, a place I used to love, and including us there were 5 gringos in the sala waiting for the chica presentation.

The chicas presented themselves and they seemed so bored and uninterested it was comical to me.

I can remember when a gringo in the sala was a big deal and the chicas giggled with excitement to maybe get selected, now it's as exciting to them as clipping their toe nails.

I noticed one of the other gringos there, a tall, very skinny guy, he was dressed like Crocodile Dundee.

He selected a chica I knew from the past, they went to the room and he was literally out of there in no more than 5 minutes.

The chica came by afterwards and I told her that she must have the 'magic' to take care of a guy that quickly, she just smiled.

I passed on the chicas, partly because I was waiting for an afternoon visit from una amguita and partly because the chicas looked so uninterested.

I know you can get lucky in the casas and meet a sweetheart, I've done it many times, it's just fewer and farther between now.

Caught the train to Energy yesterday. Take the "B" train, [email]exit@Estadio[/email] Station, turn left on Cra 70, turn left on CL 50 continue until you reach Cra 74 about a 15 min walk. Well inside there were about 12 girls working. While they look prettier in their lavender lab coats following the Loutron model, underneath the quality was about the same as other less costly MP's.

Of the 12 or so working, about half were doable. The cost is 90k for 60 mins. I drank my beer stayed a few minutes following the presentation and left.

If you just want to swing by to check it out, it's an option but you can get the same for less $.

I read in economist magazine a couple of months ago that Colombia has one of the highest functionally illiiterate populations in South America and also has the most unequal income distribution in the world. I don't see that changing any time soon, and we all see it in MDE, massive shopping malls in Poblado and abject poverty when you.

It makes it better, as the girls want more, and will be more willing to put out (just my observation!). I had the best time there the last time I went.

I believe the casas are about 15% but would be higher if the economy in this town weren't doing as well. As there are more local customers than there were 6, 8 years ago.

Most of you cannot spot the foreigner because they blend in if they dress average. A lot do. [I] That guy waiting on the sofa speaks spanish so he is a local. [/I][B]No. [/B]A lot of foreigners speak Spanish well or at least better than you. Any speaker of spanish whose level is slightly higher than yours, well, sounds fluent to you, hence they must be a Colombian and not a foreigner.

When you are able to distinguish the Costeño from the Caleño or Rolo you will spot a lot more foreigners just with your ears. Not every foreigner is 50 overweight pink skinned blonde with a long sleeved shirt tucked in.

The situation worth considering regarding the casas is not how many foreigners frequent but that more and more of the girls working in the centro casa are true lesbians. Which is why it is more mechanical toe nail clipping non GFE. A lot of girls you are with at these places are not into guys.

I bump into obvious and stealth foreigners all the time outside of Poblado. Not that I have a ptroblem with that.

last night i checked out a few clubs i had not returned to in awhile.

sonorama, cl 52 #42-72. it's ok. inside the pickins were average. no real stunners. the porn flick was the biggest thing going on.

all three of the above clubs had a decent selection, most in the average range with a few in the 7 range. in each club there were maybe an average of 20-25 (not including the dancers) girls and they kind of rotate through the clubs since they are all in close proximity looking for prey.

i was content with just watching the shows since my battery was on low. worth a peek. i was quoted 50k / 30 min and around 40k / take out. most of the girls just wanted to hook up hopefully and get out of the club for awhile. the locals were doing their thing, drinking, pawing the girls and once in awhile a tip to the dancers.
