8? WTF, I think theyre missing a few zeros
"After much soul searching, I have decided to leave the passionate and beautiful girls of Medellin behind and cross the Pacific to seek the exotic tropical beauties of General Santos City. It sounds safe compared to Medellin, free of white tourists and full of girls who like white tourists.
Two years ago I was planning a trip there but it had to be cancelled due to COVID. I became penpals with a girl on Filipino Cupid. She was desperate to meet me. I think we agreed to $50 per day. We did video chat but I never met her. She was 20, no baby, spoke English and I think that in appearance and attitude she was equal to most Colombians. About intelligence, I'm not really interested in any deep conversations.
Of course I'll miss the drama of drugging, shootings and kidnappings which are the spice of life in Medellin. But I'll manage somehow."

BTW I hope you speak Cebuano? Lololol.
What to do and what not to do
Understanding that risky behavior's is a personal choice. The spate of recent robberies, kidnappings and murders seems to be without much parallel in recent times.
In the past few years I have known more than a couple of hundred chicas from fb, Park lleras, WYP, SA, Bumble, clubs and various other online and in-person ways. At any given time I am in touch with at least twenty or thirty, the toast of the season or the trip in this case. It has become Russian roulette imagining who among the ones I know or invite to my place or to a club will sell my information and location or set me up for haircut or something even worse. Would it be the Andrea that occasionally likes 2 c and comes from Manrique, I have known Andrea for the past 4 years and has travelled with me to Santa Marta. Would it be the newbie chica I met yesterday and comes from a pueblo and recently moved to the city and not as exposed to gringo culture. What feature in someone's background should alert me?
Should I go back to staying only in hotels? Is it okay to just have a copy of cedula? What about if she recently lost it and only has a pic? Should I only use short term motels for first encounters? Should I have a cellphone jammer so a chica cannot communicate with her accomplices while in my apartment? Perhaps I should always stay only in building with porters and doormen? That restricts me to Laureles and useless Poblado. Medellin's drama for a dedicated monger is never ending.

No more barriers in Lleras either
Thinking about going to Medellin for the first time with a buddy. General plan is below. Does this seem reasonable? Am I missing anything? Thanks in advance.
Base camp:
- Stay at a nice hotel in Parque Lleras within the barricades that has 24/7 security.
- Make sure hotel is chica friendly (Hotel Europa looks good).
I don't know for sure as I do not go to parque lleras (or poblado for that matter) but I saw a video a few days ago where the new mayor Fico Gutierrez was saying that they removed (or will soon be removing) the barricades in parque lleras as well.
Let me see if I can find the video again. I believe it was a clip on YouTube.
I found it:

USA Embassy Bogota is aware of eight suspicious deaths of private USA Citizens in Medellin between November 1 and December 31,2023. The deaths appear to involve either involuntary drugging overdose or are suspected homicides. At this time, it is not believed these deaths are linked as each involved distinct circumstances, however several of the deaths point to possible drugging, robbery, and overdose, and several involve the use of online dating applications.
