I was pointing out that Thai Economics 101 with respect to WGs pricing runs counter to conventional wisdom. When demand is low, prices rise. My analogy to widgets might have been better had I used 'WGs' prices' instead.

Scorchin was clearly making a joke / being facetious. That's why he said it's Thai economics. If you read on the Brazil threads, they tend to do the same thing: increase prices when demand is weak. It's not clear if they ever come to understand the consequences of their actions.

They do their own rules whether they work or not. On the other hand we have seen that the much ruled economies have produce any sort of damages in the recent years. So, whilst the Thai "economy" is against us, can you blame them? On the more specific mongering subject, would anyone like to be fucked 10 times to earn 10, 000 or better try to get 2 times 5, 000 in one go and have less wearing ourofyour "sex hole" (whatever this is). The risk of not scoring a 5000 is there, but more or less with the same risk of scoring only 5-7 times at 1000. Getting back to "economy science" the demand / supply law is also artificially manuouved nowadays. The euro gets more power and fuel / oil should godown. No way, the dollar price of oil increases. There is over supply of some agricultural produce and lot of it is dumped (when not even paid with government support funds) to keep the market price at usual level. I really think that those theories are getting good for the writers of the books, nowadays, and for the kids of the new economy, playing Monopoli with real life (and putting all in shit!)

Dr BJ, economics is standard in nearly every country, now I'm not a expert on SEA, can only express what I have experienced in Thailand and in Thailand they seem to do the opposite as noted by the other posters by basically f-king themselves. Like thinking their rice was so good that if they raised the prices everyone including their own people will pay it. Now from what I read they are way down on exporting rice? I tend to agree here they screw themselves everytime. Someone like myself once said they are backwards and someone responded that I was being kind?
