In fact, I just checked my stash of left-over currencies that I bring back after various stints abroad, and I don't have an envelope of Cambodian money.
I paid every charge in USD, including my regular tuk tuk driver who used to wait for me outside my hotel.
Bring a pocket full of your small bills and hang on to them for all purchases.
So if I'm coming from Australia to Cambodia is it best just to convert to US dollars when I arrive and not even worry about local currency.
I imagine like most asian countries better to exchange in Cambodia.

Much better idea to go straight to a ATM after arrival, and the ATMs that I used dispensed USD. I stuck to ANZ (Australian bank) ATMs and tended to use them all the time, even though my cards are from HSBC Philippines. Rarely did I find one that didn't work, and you know thy are configured for international currencies.
Restaurant bills all had several options for payment (I think it was Thai baht, USD and, as I recall, Cambodian rial).
Make sure you know the respective forex rates so you can do quick computations in your head.
My recollection is hazy now, but I think I gave my friendly regular tuktuk driver 3 usd for whatever short trip we took. He was very "protective" of me and gave me lots of great advice, so I tended to look after him.
I remember I gave him 25 usd to take me to the Killing Fields (Cheung Ek) and Museum (Tuol Sleng) and wait for me. He was happy about that. I was distraught by what I experienced (easily the most distressing day of my visit to PP).

This was 2 weeks back when official cash exchange was approx 0.7580, so depending how much you are changing definitely worth the slight trouble! Just ensure you at least have the $30 USD for visa and $7 USD /$12 USD also depending on your choice of tuk tuk or taxi.
I think almost all of the Khmer bar girls I have ben with wore a chain around their waist (gold colored and about the same thickness as the kind of chain girls wear around their necks).
Have you guys had the same experience?
Is it a Khmer thing?

Hello,
I stay around Russian market. Someone knows a place to have an happy massage around here?
Thanks in advance.
Is there a happy massage around Russian market? I mean only HJ you know.
Hey guys,
I got a really important question about Cambodia in regards to condom usage from hostess girls. I know if I'm in Pattaya, Thailand a significantly large percentage of gogo girls will require condom for boom boom and will usually carry backups in their purse in case you don't have one. Likewise, I know if I'm in Angeles, Philippines a condom is rarely required and bareback is preferred by many of the girls who rarely have spare condoms on them.
How are the girls in Cambodia in regards to this practice for boom boom as well as the casual BJ? P.S. I'm fully aware of the elevated HIV risks but I want to know exactly what the expectations most hostess girls are like before I get there.
Is there a happy massage around Russian market? I mean only HJ you know.
You just have to ask.
Bsticks,
Massage places around town appear to be the only daytime fun. You've likely jotted down a few names in reading this thread. If you find a good place let me know.
We just discussed the US money question.
Darling Darling inside the Naga World casino is a good place from 8 pm. Like Ipanema in Singapore but way prettier girls in DD. I never went but Pontoon is the night club to hit after hours, ala iBar/Insomnia in Pattaya.
As for the condom question, keep a few on hand of your desired brand. If your desire is to do BBFS, ask the girl in the bar before you barfine her. Many Khmer girls do not give BJ either CBJ or BBBJ and if they do it's very short. Some girls tell you they love giving BJ's as part of their sales pitch because they know so many don't do BJ's. Again, clarify with the girl.
If you've been to Pattaya you may be disappointed on how small PP is.
Hi.
I heard that walkabout was closed! I really going to miss it for daytime action. Someone know were the girls are now? Has they moved to soraya shoppingmall? I am just intrested in daytime action.
BL.
Hello guys,
I have been travelling since a month in Vietnam and been dry no FS here, have had chances if being looted.
I went thru the forum got to knw about few bars I have been to Pattaya so would like to know is the same scene like I bar.
Or there is some different way to approach.
As tired to get gals in vietnam my trying was not that successful.
Will appreciate some help from you all and my pm is active. If there is any direct contact it will be really helpful.
I know one should take efforts on his own but I am really frustrated with the scene in Vietnam & don't wish to take any wrong step any more.
Awaiting for positive reply.
