I like Gapminder for comparing the progress of countries (in this case I compared Thailand, Vietnam and Philippines. For the first two countries, the GDP per head takes a dramatic turn once the birthrate gets to 2. 2 per woman. Philippines is making progress towards this, so the upturn is inevitable.
As any good economist will note, I did make a prediction but I have not given a time frame!

Result, little bit of info here, little bit there. You have to click all threads if you want to make sure you don't miss out on something. Unsatisfactory. At least with three main threads you can quickly scroll past stuff of no interest. Imagine if that kind of mayhem was allowed with the Manila or Angeles thread. So why is it allowed with Cebu?
Manila a huge city compared to Cebu has only 5 threads, is manageable, and gets along fine. Angeles with 12, 000 plus reports has only one thread, and for me, the best one to use. Cebu has approximately 7, 000 posts, divided into 20 threads, and as a result, the most unnattractive thread to use.
How about you start a Table Tennis thread in the Cebu Forum? LOL
I am heading for Cebu at the end of the month. I am arriving at 8:45 pm in Manila airport. I know that the Manila airport has a nasty reputation as one of Asia's worst airports. Many say that there are slow, impossible lines and Terminal 1 is a mess. However, others say that the lines are not so slow if you arrive at a time when not much traffic comes in. As I really, really want to get to Cebu as soon as possible, I booked a flight that takes off at 10:35 pm. Do I have a snowball's chance in hell of making that flight?
The plan is to take a taxi rather than a shuttle to Terminal 3 which would save a lot of time. Also, the hope is that 8:45 pm is a relatively slower time which would allow for getting through passport control, get my bag, and go through customs quicker. Am I crazy or do I stand a chance?
I didn't know where to post this and so I thought this would be the place.

Only 5 airplanes arrives at T-1 between 8 to 9pm (2 big 1 Singapore Airlines B772 and 1 Air Niuginu B767 (Port Moresby). The rest is A320's. If you arrive a bit early and ahead of the 2 big airplanes maby but still just maby. Your biggest disadvantage is transportation between terminals. This is terrible unefficiant and will take you probably atleast 30minutes (after you have been through immigration, baggage claim and customs. Probably with good fortune also atleast 30 minutes) if you are lucky with traffic. After my exp only between 3 to 5 am traffic is light to normal in Manila. But on the positive side when you first are at T-3 it is the best terminal (I have never been through T-4 though).
I guess you have to crash at T-3 and get the CEBU Pacific flight at 4:20am to CEB.
You could ofcourse bribe an airportofficial driving one of those "follow me" cars to drive you across the tarmac (then it is not so far and you will probably make it) but this I write with a humoristic twist ofcourse.
