If you want to visit a country without any risks of being drugged and robbed or killed, Medellin is not the city for you. Thailand, Mexico, Philippines and Costa Rica along with a number of other countries are much safer. If you aren't willing to take extra precautions in order to visit a country, you should not go to Colombia. There are some guys who seem to have the attitude of "guys, convince me to go to Colombia" and I really don't care whether guys go to Colombia or not. Go if you want. Don't go if you don't want. If you are hesitate due to safety concerns, you should go elsewhere because those safety concerns are real and you can read all the articles about gringos being robbed or killed. It's real and it's something you have to deal with if you go to Colombia.

You have to balance risks versus rewards. Now I have been to Medellin a number of times and I will continue to visit Medellin so I have done the analysis for myself and I think the rewards are worth the risks but for others, it may not be.

Was in El Centro yesterday. Behind the museum was trash. Did see a few nice young Venezolanas around the statues. Guy sat next to me and started smoking some weed. I haven't smoked since I was a teen, but it smelled pretty good. Got handed a couple of casa cards so I decided to do a casa run. Nothing blew me away but I grabbed something since I was there and since I don't go to El Centro often.

But Medellin isn't going to change, so the monger must learn the "tips and tricks" or go somewhere else, like the DR, Costa Rica, Panama City, or Thailand.

That said most guys who visit Medellin for fun could put their hands on 5 to 10 K push come to shove, which is a fortune down there. If the prey gets wise to a certain angle then the predators will adapt. For example knives can be used instead of scope, as was the case with the Turkish guy in Laureles, or the Panamanian-American businessman.

One might also consider vacations with total abstinence, as even a couple of drinks makes one less vigilant, while there's also dangers out on the street.

Apartment guards as a whole are overrated as some are just lazy and poor listeners, no matter if you slip them $ or chat them up. You can also tip well in a local restaurant yet your order is still liable to often come back wrong. Hotels are preferred, and I'd about write off AirBnb. And because a girl shows an ID doesn't mean it's hers or genuine.

P.S. In the past some have posted the high murder stats of some US and Mexican cities in an attempt to put Medellin in a better light. Goes the refrain, "Medellin had the lowest murder rate in 40 years last year and is safer than many US cities. " Well even if the Medellin murder stats aren't cooked and are truly the best in 40 years, they're still nothing to write home about. Murder stats are hugely spiked in Mexico by cartel wars, and the same applies to gang wars in some US cities. The suburbs to these US cities have far lower rates of violent crime.

Colombia as a whole has over 4 times the murder rate of the US, 26 per 100 K to the US at 6. And of course cartel wars in Mexico and gang violence in southside Chicago are irrelevant to the tourist experience in Medellin, while there's more to safety than murders. For example, street robberies in Medellin are very common, and way under reported as most consider it a waste of time.

Facts are just facts. It's how you choose and analyze them that matters. One can cherry pick and jump to all kinds of errant conclusions.

So I wanted to make a post about the best "time of day" for the different "types" of girls / plays available. I'the like to share what I've gathered reading the forum and also ask anyone to edit / add their two cents as needed. I want to capture a snapshot of the best, worst, and starting availability times of all the different types of action.

Just got back a few days ago and I'll try to keep this short. Just wanted to share a few thoughts. For personal reasons, I probably won't be back to Medellin for a while.

So much has been made of the increased danger. I'll admit, all of the talk made me a little more leery as my trip approached. That said, I had no greater sense of danger during my entire visit. In fact, the only danger I saw was two different incidents where older gringos did their best to pick a fight with strangers. Does my anecdotal experience mean MDE is perfectly safe? Nope. But I would have no more concern than I ever have had visiting Medellin. Even when you read the numerous stories. If you read beyond the headlines, you'd see that these body counts are not often related to mongering. But again, just one man's opinion.

I often prefer massages during the day and clubs at night. I'm not a fan of Centro; just not my style. I know I could get by with a much cheaper bill. But I left MDE with $1,500 more USD than I planned to.

Massages; I visited Esperanza, Dan Spa, Happy Massage, Tantra Donde Mi Rey and Bendito. Esperanza was worth the visit to just see Andrea. Service was good but a total knockout. Dan Spa, as expected, was a letdown. Good massage, poor HJ. Don't recall the girls name. Happy Massage is always enjoyable. While you'll typically only receive a HJ, it is definitely very sensual. Donde Mi Rey was a big surprise, in a positive way. Called and didn't need an appointment. I cannot remember the girls' names but opted for a threesome. The bad part was that everything was covered. But if lesbo action is your thing, this is your place. It was PSE. Tongues everywhere. Scissoring. It was phenomenal. 360 k with FS which I thought was a great value. And Bendito Spa was another gem. This is another HJ only place. Visited with Amatista one day and then 4 hands with Amatista and Esmerelda. That was on my last day. Really wish I had one more day to visit Esmerelda one on one. The mansion. Went there on a Friday night. About 10:15 ish. There were 10 total people in the bar. Went on a Monday. Maybe 15. They did say they were slammed on Saturday night. Pulled three from the mansion. Geraldine. Recommend. Juliana. High recommend. Nathalia. All was covered but I'd still highly recommend. Going price is 250 k to 300 k for a few hours.

Lleras. It's Lleras. No changes from the last visit. Visited Glow. I've never been impressed with that place. Black Diamond actually had some really good lookers. Took one back and was not disappointed. 300 k. Gustos was a mixed bag. Again, I know many say they get a quote 200 or 300 USD. The highest I paid this time was 600 k and that was basically an all nighter. There were mostly 7's with a few 8's. Saturday night was much less crowded than normal. Tuesday night, the guys outnumbered the girls! But oddly, the prices didn't seem to go up. I got takeout for 2 hours 500 k.

All in all, a great trip. Those of you worried about danger, listen to your gut. But I would not discourage anyone based on my experience.

" Or "don't get in a taxi you didn't call. " Or "watch your drink so you don't get drugged. " Dawg, these are the standard things most women have to do every time they go out so it is rich to see us complain about it. I do agree that places like Thailand are safer and built to extract foreigner money with speed and simplicity, but that doesn't mean that having personal responsibility and taking care of yourself is a bridge too far to get some pussy. I am being very anecdotal but it seems that in my decade+ of mongering (maybe I need more experience), bad things have only happened to my friends / fellow mongers I've met who were doing stupid stuff. Whether it was trying to steal at a night market in Bangkok or getting drunk and then high on Tusi and staying out all night until 4 am, it has always felt like there was a very clear reason for why "bad" things happened to them. That said, I am a very wary guy who would rather go home alone than try to do something that feels off to me, so maybe that has also helped.
