Medellin Reports

It appears that New Life and Energy Spa (near the stadium) are the two better known daytime casas in town. Wondering if those who have visited both can give their feedback on how these two establishments compare. I heard that Energy is pricier and at least on Google feedback, the reviews are very mixed. There's a guy on YouTube that just raves about Energy but he's really the only video review that I've seen (he also gives good feedback on New Life as well on a separate video).

Also, pardon my ignorant question but in mongering where I'm from (Toronto / Montreal) as well as in the past trips to Dominican Rep and Costa Rica as well as in Asia, it's standard practice for both girls and clients to shower (sometimes separately sometimes together depending on the girl). It is this same in MDE no matter if it's in a daytime casa, nighttime strip club room or pulling a girl back to your place from Parque Ileras?

The place is Soul Lifestyle Apartamentos. If you stay there, you will see several anti sex tourist signs. In addition, you will sign that you will not bring prostitutes there. However, they do allow 3 guests per week free of charge. I have never had a problem there. But, I insist the girls I bring there dress appropriately. I would say if you are discreet, don't cause problems and aren't obvious, you won't have a problem. The security there is great. They did boot a few 18 year olds out last week, not because of girls but because of loud music and the entire floor smelled like weed. It is NOT a party hotel, so to anyone reading, please don't ruin this place. Also, if you are a 10-girl a week guy, at best you'll have to use a love motel in addition. But with common sense, it's a great place. Good location. For what you pay, you get great accomodations. And security is great. They check ID, make a copy and tell the girl that she's not leaving the door without me with her.

Wow looks like Energy is almost triple the rate of New Life then. But at least it sounds like both are worth visiting. I'll check on Sexy Amigas too.

It is nothing you should try after dark. During daylight hours it's not a problem. The worst part of it is the block just east of Avenida Oriental that is an open air flophouse and latrine for street people. The odors will take your breath away. That's another reason I recommend following east then turn north (left).

Passport Dog Kenny is a colorful nickname. I'm not familiar with his "work" but he should take care to maintain a low profile. Partly because of the pandemic, it's been pretty quiet on the foreigner prosecution scene in the past five years. He might not be aware of the sad end some of his predecessors have had. You might not have noticed among the oldtimers there are also many drug addicts who hang on the benches nearer the catherdral. Less of a concern are the trans streetwalkers who work the area near the police station.

Because he had originally said something to us I had my eye on him as he began to follow us. But it had nothing to do with any park or whatever. Just something that could happen anywhere. Parque Bolivar is only a bit different as it is an area with more trannies, but I don't think it is more or less dangerous. Crowded areas where you walk through a lot of people are the most dangerous likely as far as daytime walking around, and perhaps areas under the metro tracks as you go towards the Prado station.

I suggest you shower at your house or hotel room beforehand. Never shower once with the girl unless if you are both showering at the same time and even then never let her get out of the shower before you do. Always keep an eye on her constantly.

Memorize the route and knowing where you are going will help you with safety. This route has better landmark as reference point so it is easier to remember.

You can consider taking the street Cr 49 to the park, turn to CL 54. Don't go toward west if you don't know what you are doing. The middle and the east side of the park are better than the west side of the park.

There are many restaurants on Cr 49. You can pick a 2nd floor one and have lunch and people watch. There are also several well-known restaurants. One is Versalles which is an old school type of restaurant that is rare in Medellin but common in Buenos Aires that may be interesting to you.

There is an university on CL 56 before you reach New Life. There are many decent small local Colombian restaurants that you can try. You can have breakfast or lunch there if you want to experience some local life style and food.
