Quick question for you guys. I'm new to the Karaokie seen, and am trying to figure out if these Karaoke girls will short time with you and how much. I went to the President Hotel (with Nancy's Massage Parlour) the other day. I stopped by the massage parlor, but the girls weren't the best looking (only 5 at the time). So I noticed some hotties in the Karaoke coffee shop. This normally isn't my scene, but I decided, perhaps I could get one of these girls to ST at room at the President Hotel (they have ST rooms there). I thought for sure that the reason why the Hotel sold ST rooms was for the Karaoke girls... Anyways, it was a little early at 8PM and there were only a few other guys in there. The girls all took turns singing and all of them were much more attractive than the girls behind the glass window at Nancy's. So I pick one and have her come sit by me. We talk and I buy her a drink. We laughed and got to know each other a little (she spoke great english). She went to go back to sing and sent her a 200 baht lei as she was singing. She came back to resume our chit-chat. I then asked her if I could ST her at the hotel. She seemed a bit shocked. I said I was rather new...she smiled and said she could take me all night at 1AM. I again asked if she could come with me now for a ST. She declined.

Can someone explain this to me? Is this typical for other Karaoke joints as well? (New Star, Chiang Mai Land, etc.). You can't just "bar fine" a girl and take her with you for ST or LT, whatever a monger like myself pleases? Isn't this a buyer's market?? And just so you know, I was VERY polite and charming. I'm in my early 30's and not that bad looking. But to be honest, I'm a total newbie to the Karaoke bar-scene... I wanted to hang-out at New Star (BIG Karaoke place), but again, I'm not sure how it works.

Agree, 3000b is steep price for CM.--- these prices more normal for BKK. This is Gimmick to entice bros to pay more for a fantasy of bonking suppose young Uni gals (real or fake dont matter cause the uniform fulfills the dream). Its just whether bros are willing to pay this price for gals. Will be ok as long as these same gals don't get out of uniform and start quoting 3000b everywhere they go.

John, I've always just paid a bar-fine (one that often also includes the price of the sex) and taken girls out of karaokes. I'll have been sat with a bottle of Black and three girls for about an hour or so beforehand.

I think karaoke girls are more selective as to who they go with (they still want to look good in front of their friends, unlike shameless bar-girls and go-go-girls), but you shouldn't have any difficulties finding someone who likes you.

I notice a lot of Thai dudes in these places making arrangements to meet the girls after work, so you could always give that approach a try.

If you keep striking out have a long chat with the girls about this.

Hey CB - how about general locations on where some of the sing-sings are? I might try 1 next trip - otherwise I need to find a good silversmith (Karin, probably) for some speciality work.

Went to Sayuri MP last night at 7pm and it was full of ugly women!

I was in there 5 minutes and then left.

Sayuri has a few hotties, but mostly it is for older clientelle. Save it for old age and bad taste.

I've been several times to CM with my gf and stayed the last few times at the Rydges. Now I feel it's time to check out something new, also better, but I don't want to spend 10'000THB+ for places like Mandarin Oriental, Four Seasons, or Chedi.

Has anybody stayed at the D2 (new Dusit "boutique" hotel) in Chiang Mai on Chang Klan Road?

- as there are no "real" pictures on the official website--is the hotel still under construction?
- does the hotel have a free car park?
- how's the quality of the breakfast?
- how did you book and what did you pay all-in?

Any one stay at lotus or chiang mai hill hotel at huay kaew before , this is my
first trip to cm , read the post chiang hill have a massage with fs inside the
hotel and lotus have a ktv and a disco will be there next week for a few days
