You must not be Asian, cos they would never pull something like this with an Asian, I don't know why they do it at all, for a few measly bucks.

The coupons are all inclusive for the services you selected. You already paid the tax at Shun Tak office, unless the tax is for onsite extras.

Ask them what the tax is for, and get the receipt and take it back or call the Shun Tak office ask them what is up with this tax stuff.

I never heard of taxing a package coupon in Macau.

'Top dollar' relatively speaking. For sauna girls they get about 50% of your check at best. There are a lot of people involved and responsible for this enviornment to even think about exist.

Proprietors doesn't make that much either. Operating a Macau sauna isn't considered a lucrative business anymore.

For the girls they enjoy the higher per-pop price ratio than in mainland, where they may have to work 2 or 3 times harder to get the same pay. And also enjoys higher quality of customers and working enviorment here.

Macau sauna girls end up with 300-500 per pop, compared to 100-250 at nearby Delta regions. If you're hot and up and coming, you get picked 2-3 a day average, 5 day weekly shift. That will have to include the rent (mostly shared apts), food and all living expenses. Not-so-hot girls eventually quit after their Visas is up, or just overstay by freelancing, where they offer the same price per pop as they would make working in the Sauna, cutting out the middle man.

Sauna girls don't have it made by any means. Most mainland girls, stunner or not, are more frugal while in Macau than you would believe. While the money they make here may be astronomical compared to back home, but all of them do realize they're not here on vacation like most transients in Macau.

New blood keeps customers coming back, variety of new and refreshing ideas keep this adult playland a beacon of hope for all willing participants far and wide.

Never seen this. Even when I had to pay additional extras I ordered during my stay I paid what was laid out in the menu card or what I agreed to pay.
Once they tried to overcharge 100MOP, but after my complaints and a short call to the manager all was fine.

I guess you were right - they tried to get some additional money for you.

After having had a super session with a girl in one of the top saunas in Macau (It could have been any of them, so there is no need to name it), I got the girl's mobile number.
We had a few SMS back and forth and I was going to see her after the shift.
She said she would come t my room. 15 minutes before the time I ot an SMS. I'll put that in English now:

Girl: If I come to your room, will you pay me money?
Me: Don't worry, I'll give you 500.
Girl: I need money today, can you pay me 1500?
Me: Sorry, no.
Girl: 1000?
Me: I am not a tourist and not so rich.
Girl: So I will just stay short time then.
Me: Next time.
Girl: So you don't want to seee me then"
Me: No, because we talked about money too much and I lost my mood for today.
Girl: Then I agree to 500.
Me: Next time.
Girl: Why?
Me: Not today. Money has become too important.
Girl: I want to see you.
Me: Next time maybe.
Girl: Are you angry at me?
Me: No, I am not angry. I will go to sleep now and SMS you tomorrow.

Let's see how this story ends. I would have offered her maybe 700 if she had asked for 1000. But 1500 was so out of the question that I thought I'll also play some game. There are too many BSDs around spoiling the girls by throwing around money. I cant hear the "Everything is so dirt cheap compared to back home" anymore.

I believe you can get many girls from any sauna off duty for 500 at least short time.

Unfortunately (or fortunately) I had to go to Bangkok today, so I texted her that I will see her when I come back. And no, I won't disclose her identity, because the girls in the saunas are not supposed to go with customers in their off time. I've never been charged crazy tax, but I have noticed that there are signs in all the saunas (either on the front desk or in the menu) saying that the prices are "plus 10% service charge and VAT," so if there ever was a legal challenge, they might get away with it. I would assume they try to do this for the guys who go to the sauna and don't get a girl, but it's never been charged to me.

I was overcharged once at Boss, but it seemed to be a mistake on the part of the girl who gave me the foot massage. The staff seemed apologetic; they actually called the girl on her mobile and doublechecked my story, and then wiped the charge.

When I was paying the bill for East Spa, I had only gotten one extra, a $110 pedicure. My bill was $114. I paid it without complaining, b/c I wasn't about to cause a scene for 4 HKD. Don't know where it came from though.

Had the same experience. This means you can buy your friends vouchers in HK and sent them without money to Macau. And they will come back as happy men, although it is only for a few hours.

Happened once at Millionaire's, and the other time at Boss. I went to both previously without any attempt to charge "tax". I'm certain now they were just trying to pad the bill.

I've been boning up on the Macau sauna scene and--despite rtff-ing like crazy, can't seem to get an answer to these questions:

1. I'll have about 48 hours in Macau. I'm considering taking the Turbojet service straight from HKIA to Macau, but wouldn't this bypass all the coupon-purchase places? Is there an alternative pre-purchase discount source?

2. What's a "Shanghai style" massage? I think I would like it, and bear that in mind for question #3 . . . .

3. What should be my choice for a second sauna (East Spa is a given) considering that I really like (or think that I would like) nude body-to-body massage; body scrub; thigh massage; cat-bath, ball-licking . . . wow, I sound like a total perv when I put it out there in black and white.

Gamma Ray, when you go directly from the airport you do bypass all the discount places. There are no places in the airport selling tickets to the Saunas. According to tne mamasan at East, the price isn't very different BUT with the package from the HK Ferry Terminal you get extra services that aren't included in the walk-in price. I had to pay extra for my body to body swimming pool service, for example. The package from the HK Ferry Terminal includes this, plus some other services. If you have time (I didn't), you might want to take the bus or metro from the airport to the ferry terminal, get your package ticket, then take the ferry to Macau.

1. Yes, no discount packages from HKIA to Macau saunas. Like the last poster said, some do take the A bus to ShunTak center to buy the packages and depart from there, mainly due to the frequency, or lack thereof, of HKIA-Macau ferries. Couple of A buses literally take you from door to door to ShunTak building. $40HKD one way ticket.

One advantage for HKIA ferries is there is a Turbojet ticket booth before baggage claim, you can buy a ticket for a scheduled ferry and give them your baggage claim ticket from your flight, they will have all your luggages on that ferry ready for you when you board.

2. Shanghai style is a quick full service where managers pick the girls for you, or the girls take turns. Most likely mainland girls unless you ask for otherwise.

3. If you done your homework you should know nude body-to-body rubs are the specialty of Darling1 and 2. Although most saunas got a body-wash table inside the rooms now, all those perverted acts are easily obtainable by request. But by enlarge best body-body routines are at Darling1, and 2.

In that case you most likely will get a HJ.

Shanghai style is a veggie massage. Outside of Macau, it means a massage through your clothes!

Chinese style is where the manager picks the girl for you (ie no lineup or fishbowl), usually at a substantial discount. FS.
