Decent hotel in a bad area. Clientele is almost exclusively Kenyan business class. Bar and restaurant on premises but not recommended. Rates vary, but generally start at about 2500 ksh per night (single B/B) with a 500 ksh guest adder, or about 3500 ksh for a double room (B/B) with A/C. Do not book a room facing the street. Location is good if you happen to frequent Florida 2000 and are comfortable walking there (and back) at night. Madhouse and Simmers are also within walking distance, but doing so depends on your particular fitness level and appetite for risk. Emails don't work well in Africa, so just call or show up...

1. one reads a great deal these days about how high-speed internet is coming/has come to kenya and east africa. will i be able to watch streaming video of baseball at an internet cafe? (i know, i know...) is high-speed wifi available publicly if i bring my laptop?

2. does the terminal hotel have in-room television?

During day time I would see no problem walking there (still have a look at your belongings as anywere) but at night this is definetely a no go area, take a cab!

terminal does not have tv. just bed and shower (with hot water sometimes)

it's a lot more expensive, but great and the internet you get in your room (cable) is super fast (even by western standards)

there are some cafes that advertise that they have free wifi (check my earlier report), but i haven't experienced them myself. i've asked though, and have received negative reply.

I have stayed there on various days this March. As for the rates, the websites quotes single Kshs 2500, I paid ksh 2000 bed only, or kshs 2300 with breakfast buffet, for doulbe occupancy add kshs500. I's a decent enough place, not the best neighborhood, always took a cab at night, most cabs will from CBD will take you there for kshs 200. Avoid the 3rd floor if possible, they have a gym upstairs where people work out from 6am, complete with loud music.

Terminal hotel, Nairobi, too much noise at the moment due to construction at rear of hotel, I stayed there for three nights last week and could not relax, room 310 top floor has a leaking roof, overpriced at 2000 per night for double,

Simmers and Florida 2000 are both booming, ratio female to male about 5 to 1

Can't wait to return to nai, big beautiful asses.

Agreed. Weekend at Florida was good. Ratio has improved with Easter coming. And ladies needing the extra income for the holidays

Semi pro action also was on the increase in Florida. Picked up one, but need to ask fellow mongers how to convince the ladies to get a pic taken. Trust is an issue.

Re photos: I always start before hitting the bed. Maybe a shot or two with their friends at the bar/disco. A couple more doing "model poses" before hitting the sack, doing a funny picture or two, then fun in the sack..then nudies...usually not an issue.

So I call this girl who advertised on one of the webpages.

She says she stopped doing the dirty anymore. My bad, as she looked very yummy.
