Punta Cana

Hello all.

I was a ISG Reader all the Time and thought tis time to create a account here to ask some Questions I have.

In some Vacation Forum I did read that Steves totally changed the Sales Concept.

They seems to do Fruit Juices and do some religious stuff now.

No chicas booze and cigars anymore LOL.

I used to go there in my last DR trips just to watch german football at weekends.

At that tiem I wasnt soo much into mongering and did vacations with my GF.

But things change and next trip I need to do alone but don't want to leave my dick alone for the whole vacation.

TBH I planned to do my next Trip at the Palladium just that I can go there by foot LOL.

Can anyone confirm this bad news?

The last thing I read about Steve's or Bar de los Alemanes is that the owner had sold the premises or that were under new management (confirmed by various souces) , who went back to the old style Steve's I. E with chicas, booze, football on TV and all the fun that a mixture of all that provides. They also had a facebook account with daytime photos, but that kind of businesses in PC change very often, in names, management, location or popularity, so only recent boots on ground reports can guarantee the info is still valid.

Paid sex can be found easily in PC but is pricey and the looks / attitude of the girls leaves a lot to be desired when compared to Sosua or Boca Chica. If you are into dancing and mixing with local people try to go to Bar de la Plaza or "Sacaleches" after dark, there are plenty of girls who you can bargain with well into the night. If you are more of the point and click type, go to a club (conejitas, cool which is former La Punta) but expect to pay much more.

You could pick up a girl almost all day. They would even call a girl if you had her name. There was a disco acroos from Steves that had some fine women but the prices were high.

I was never at Steve's in PC before November 2012 so I can't say what was in the past.

I was there in the early evening and the place was pretty much full. Not jammed. I sat down at the bar and immediately had 2 women sit down on either side of me.

When a woman left Steve's she was replace by 1 or more. There were women out on the street. If you're shy, you don't have to worry about it. Because the women aren't.

I thought Steve's was great! $3 El Presidente Cerveza. Women. Comfortable. Easy.

Same here. Spent most of the last week-end before new year hanging at Steve's.

This is no D'Latin in term of size and ambience. But plenty of good looking girls available throughout the evening. No more or less aggressive than on Sosua's strip.

I liked that [red]Steve's[/red] felt more like a neighborhood bar. All girls clearly new each other. Most guys as well. I chatted at length with a non-monger expatriate family in there for a drink, which never happened in Rumba or D'Latin.

Best experience actually was at the dominican bar at the entrance of [red]Cortecito Beach[/red]. They have 4 resident waitress / prostitutes / entertainers there. One of them I found cute, with a friendly round face and a well-proportioned, petite frame. Yuli was her name I believe, from Santo Domingo. She asked 5, 000 and negotiated down to 2, 000. Half of that went to the bar. Used a small, relatively clean room in the back of the bar allocated specially for that purpose.

Outside of that, [red]Punta Cana[/red] was quite a let down. I spent hours driving around looking for good beaches, but most are locked behind hotel walls. As a result, the beaches that are accessible end up being crowded and expensive. I don't intend to come back to Punta Cana.

Do anybody knows if the bus Metro or Caribe goes to Santo Domingo and if so how long is the ride.

You need to catch the Expresso Bavaro near Friusa, it's about a 3 1/2 to 4 hour ride.

Good highway, built by a Brazilian construction company, I drove part of it a few months ago.

Small airplane and helicopter travel between Punta Cana and Santo Domingo, I'll look for more information.

Like you said, I heard bavaro is a decent place to meet locals. I'm really considering going there instead of sousa, I have never been to DR before and from reading the sousa reports seems like things are getting kinda crazy over there.

My first trip to the DR was to the Barcelo Bavaro Palace All Inclusive Hotel, over 10 years ago. Since then lots more development in Punta Cana and Bavaro. Higuey is about 40 minutes from Bavaro. Higuey is a nice town, has a large futuristic looking Cathedral (think movie Blade Runner). Boca de Yuma is a small fishing village west of punta cana (with the new coral highway less than 40 minutes, next town west would be Bayahibe, then La Romana). La Romana less than an hour from Punta Cana.

Scores (Klimax) is a good size venue in La Romana, the two times I visited a few years ago, some very nice women there, prices not cheap.

If you go to Punta Cana/Bavaro, there are two small cities within an hour drive (Higuey and La Romana) and smaller towns (Boca de Yuma and Bayahibe) where you can easily meet locals.
