all respect for your activity as senior. i just become paying member a few weeks ago, will come to dhaka and really needs some guidance please. thanks.

I have been offered a 12 month contract based in Dhaka starting in January. I am not much into massage or short time much preferring the GF experience, during my time working in Vietnam I enjoyed a lot of success using Tagged and the Expats website however it looks as if there is very slim pickings in Bangladesh also in the past I have had the company of the occasional university student who apart from enjoying a western boyfriend also enjoyed some extra cash to help with their studies.

I would welcome any advice from any long term residents who may be able to help or point me in the right direction.

Is the bar at the Sheraton* still a source of freelancers? Will it be open on Fridays?

Are there any local FL bars? I may have difficulty getting out to Gulshan.

From previous visits I know there are many WGs but damned if I could find the 'hotels' where they worked again.

Got 3 weeks of work coming up in Dhaka and staying at the Pan Pacific. Will have 2 work colleagues who are pretty straight and not worldly wise with me so I will have to be discreet. Any advise on action in or near this hotel appreciated. RTFF suggests that the bar in the hotel might be worth a look. Any reports on the hotel itself? Web reports seem to indicate that it is OK. Have been to Dhaka several times before but always stayed in Hotel Lake Castle (had no choice) which was borderline OK but would drive me nuts after 3 weeks.

I will be arriving in Dhaka to be staying at Radisson Blu Water Garden. Are there still working girls at the bar like it has been mentioned in this forum before? Anyone have a helpful tip for a newbie?

Is talking to the bell hop or staff a possible avenue for securing a working girl?

I will be returning to Dhaka for numerous visits very early next year, and will post updates as I discover them.

Dear All,

I posted some time ago enquiring about the Dhaka scene. My visit was delayed but is now confirmed for next week, Monday to Friday. I will be staying at the Ruposhi Bangla and should have free time to myself in the evenings.

There really doesn't seem to be anyone sharing much information about where to go. The only place I can see is Gulshan 1, which I will probably try (La Diplomat?). It would be much appreciated if anyone could share some more specific information about what to expect here (a bar was mentioned. Is this just a cover for a brothel or is it a bar with a "bar fine" equivalent that you pay in Thailand / The Philippines?

I will definitely report back here with my experiences but at present, I think all that I will be able to comment on is the existence / non-existence of FL in the *Sheraton bar, and a wiuld goose chase around Glashan 1!

Please PM / reply if anyone has any specific suggestions to make my four nights in Bangladesh (first time visit) more entertaining!
