What details or documents do I need? Which is the best mobile carrier or network? I'll be there for 5 days traveling between Frankfurt and Leipzig.

Thank you.[/QUOTE]Its a pain in the ass to get a sim card in Germany unlike other countries like Thailand. I suggest you look on ebay and see if you can buy one there. You might have to use ebay dot de and ask the seller if they can ship it out of the country for you.

I thought I saw a SIM card vending machine at Frankfurt airport when arriving at terminal 1 B a few weeks ago. And you should be able to buy a local prepaid SIM at any cell phone shop around the main train station or even at the airport.

Just go to Aldi and get a prepaid sim card, when entering the adress you make one up (or look one up). Personally I seem to live in a hotel in Dortmund. You fill your account by directly buying it in aldi and then filling in the number online.

Due to terrorist, you cannot even take shampoo on board, got to take belt off, shoes off at airport I mean. It is like mini striptease LOL.
