In a hotel that I stay in in Las Vegas the top 4 or 5 floors are labeled PH. When you go to the rooms on those floors they are the exact same as the rooms on every other floor.
The viewing fee is not enforced for regular customers. I am in favor of it because the hordes of weekend warrior lookie lou were starting to interfere with the sacas' business. Some of these guys were going around secretly filming the lineups and putting them on youtube. Some were also charging other guys tour fees to bring them around to casas. It's not a big burden to buy a beer or soft drink.

I am trying to decide between two AirBNB's. Both are roughly the same price and offer the same comforts. The only difference is one is about 1/4 of a mile from Lleras Park and restaurants and shops etc but has no AC. The other is about double the distance from Lleras and doesn't seem to have shops or restaurants or much around it but it has AC. For the sake of this question, I hate being hot. Should I go with the closer one and chance the fact it had no AC or go with the other?

If you don't speak Spanish, it'd be impossible to convince them you live in or are from Colombia. Even if you did speak Spanish, they'd figure out pretty quickly that you weren't from there.
OTOH, I would tell them you're in town for a while even if you're not. If they think you'll be there a few weeks, they are more likely to give you good service, hoping that you'll repeat.
And never deal in or discuss USD with the girls. If a chica even brings a dollars with me, I generally say goodbye because she's treating me like a fool right off the bat.

Travelling to Medellin next week and wondering if I can purchase some kind of a mobile hotspot device? I have an iphone with verizon international travelpass, but I don't think the hotspot / tethering works when travelling internationally. Will rather prefer to get a local wifi device or some kind of a pocket mifi device. How can I get one in Medellin at the airport or say in poblado area somewhere?
Context: I will be working as well when travelling for this mini vacation fun. Hence, need a strong wifi and don't want to depend only on the hotel wifi (I will be going to guatape as well, and have heard most hotels don't have decent wifi there). Hence, need a backup wifi device.

You are taking taxi's most of the time anyway so what does an extra 5 min in a taxi mean. You usually do not need AC in Medellin however we are having a particularly hot season so it might suit you well.

Otherwise I don't understand why not just get a backup number from the States and head over.

Check the weather for your time of visit and you might not either. That city is a lot wetter than it is hot.

There is no head start or needing to stay in touch with hookers. Who you contact today may be on the other side of the world in 3 months. 2 or 3 days before is as soon as you need to contact them. They don't care much what you look like, but generally if they know you're from somewhere outside you may be asked for more than they would for informed locals. Actually, you will be asked for more. I wouldn't worry about phone numbers, etc. They will know anyway. And if you managed to fool them by using a local number or whatever they would know as soon as you met them, and you will probably need to pay a bit more. Just accept it. Because otherwise you will just have confrontation and trouble. Negotiate, yes, and you will get into a reasonable ballpark, but don't expect to get the price that a local would get on the streets in centro.

After all, it's called the City of Eternal Spring. Open the window and circulate the air and you'll be just fine. However, open the window 1/4 mile from Parque Lleras and you'd better be a heavy sleeper because of the noise.

For the first time solo travelers it's not as bad as they say. I will start by saying I'm 6'4 and 230 pounds but that doesn't mean a thing in all reality I'm also black. By the second and third night I figured it out. Wake up eat hit el centro, hit casas for threesomes then regroup at home base use the site for chicas then hit el poblado if you still have more steam. I had 16 chicas in 4 days in Medellin. Also I went to chicas "apts" at night without any issues at all alot of them stayed in laureles which is why I choose to book an Airbnb in laureles this time.
