Hey guys,

I've been to Seoul many times but I've never tried an ANMA or the barbershops. I was wondering if you guys could recommend any good ones and how much they usually run? I usually just hit up the RDL's and I've tried the coffee girls. I think I'm going to be staying near the Gangnam area this trip.

I'm an italian student in Seoul as an exchange student. On Friday I spent the night in a club in Hongdae, when I got out I walked random and I entered in the first bar I saw.

In this place, called "Main Bar", I ordered a whisky and the bartender (a nice girl) joined me for all the time I was there for converstaion and filling my glass, putting ice, etc etc.

I know it may sound naive but I am trying to figure out what kind of places it was since I really have zero experience in this. Can anyone of you guys help me?

I'm looking for a "kiss club" or "kiss bang" (I don't know the name) in Seoul. I have searched a lot on the internet but I haven't found one.

I'm currently living in Itaewon so if someone wants to join me for the trip in a "kiss club", why not.

I heard also that "kiss club" don't really like foreigners so I'm looking for a one which can accept foreigners. I don't speak korean too.

I know that some "kiss club" need a phone number or stuff like that but I don't have a korean phone yet and I don't have my alien card yet too.

Anyway, it's been one month that I'm in Seoul and I've only tried the hill in Itaewon which is pretty cool for foreigners. I think everybody can find what he wants in this area.

@Babaprince: I'm also an exchange student. Well, I haven't much experience in all bars in Seoul but I think if you drink more and buy her a drink maybe you could have extra service. Anyway if you are interested in some bars with girls, I can show you the hill if you want.

Ok, time to unveil a hidden gem of Seoul (answering to Baxter's request). I've been trying this place for a while to ensure consistency, and it never disappointed me. Last time I was there was December '11, and it was nice as usual.

On the main avenue that goes from Samgakji St. To Seoul St, after you pass the USO on your left, keep looking at your left until you see a very small hotel called K A Y A. Look carefully or you'll miss it. There is a small sign in Korean saying "sports massage" on B1 (I saw that by accident in the past). Get into the hotel and immediately leave through the back door. Make a right and follow the wall. Another right and you'll see the hotel coffee shop. At the door, at your right, stairs going to B1. Get down there, ring the bell, the guy will open it for you.

This is a kiss bang, so don't expect FS. But service is great. He will lead you to a room with a bed and shower, will get your 70k, and ask to shower and wait. You shower and wait.

A girl will come in. I always had very cute girls coming in. If you have small korean language abilities, it will help. But some of them speak English, what makes me believe that they are students making some cash on the side.

Small chit chat, where are you from, etc, and then things vary depending on the lady. Once, I was asked to lie down naked, so she would massage me, flip me over, and start the kissing and cuddling and everything else (BBBJ, AR, etc.). Also, be nice: I believe not too many foreigners go there, so if we act like assholes, they will ban us. So be polite to the front desk guy and to the lady. Be humble.

Obs. : I usually tip them 20k.

Usually it's more pricey than a normal bar, and usually they have sofa booths where you can sit with the girl for an extra fee. They sometimes allow a little bit touching, but don't expect anything else than talking and some flirting. The girls at these places are not available to take out the bar for extra service, although I have gotten numbers and met sexy bar girls for dates a few times non of them were pro's.

I have read through a large number of the posts to this forum and thanks to everyone for sharing their wisdom. While I have mongered frequently in other parts of Asia, this is my virgin trip to Seoul. I think I have a handle on the RLDs and some of the FS barber pole establishments, although they seem to be not that easy to find. The one thing there is not too much of info on but seems would be a lot of fun is what is referred to as the "full room salon". A couple of questions about them.

1) which are the ones in Seoul that are reasonably priced and will admit foreigners?

2) There seems to be a 400K fee up front for the room and drinks. Is that independent of how many people are in the group? Are there separate fees for the ladies or just tips? If so, what is normal? Can you get FS in such a place or only making out?

3) Are there one or two folks that would be willing to join me to split the costs?

Sauro[/QUOTE]The Kaya has traditionally been a foreigner-friendly club due to its proximity to Yongsan Garrison. I stayed there quite a few times in the '80s and '90s. The massage parlor there used to be FS but laws have changed over time. Still, sounds like a nice alternative to a clinical massage parlor.
