Was loaded with work and schedules, so could not really plan my usual dating sites approach. i would say model the risk in a numerical way and bear in mind that the us loses more to gun massacres each year than indonesia does to mob violence. each is an anarchaic act which is at the heart of the terror, but my call is let your balls hang down and then go and put them to work.

In case anyone is staying at the Crowne Plaza Jakarta. They have an in-room massage service. I got an hour and then offered a HJ. Total package was $40 USD. Maybe Indonesian hate US goverment and CIA, but not the common US people. Demo is just a part of ordinary life here, but other than that, everything still run smoothly as usual. Now you can mongering at many places, compare to during ramadhan month. Jakarta is safer than other big cities, just use common sense and you will be able to in and out safely.

Any anti-American demo I've seen in Jakarta is about as big as two football teams and consists entirely of skinny little losers who dress up like deranged dental assistants and who are either unemployed or students at third-rate universities. Anti-American attitudes are NOT even close to being main-stream in Indonesia and the "threat level" is minuscule.
