I've met doctors lawyers art dealers business owners all of whom have funded their educations through discreet ways.
I have friends who have met many girls who live normal lives now with well paying jobs by Colombian standards.
Many of them are married and make a good living. But if we call them up for a good time most likely they won't be turning it down.
Theres also a list of A list Colombian women (newscasters, models, telenova actresses etc) that are available companions as well. They start at 2 k usd.
Maybe they don't give a rats ass about hood rats but they care that your main objective of being there is to bang their women.
I even know a female cop with a BF that use to be a fb girl. And I'm sure for the right price she'll come out. Lots of things you're not seeing and simply don't know. There's a much bigger side to it.

On weekends, including Sunday if Monday was a holiday, they would stay open until 4 AM. Weeknights most would stay open until 1 AM.
Word of advice if you plan on staying until everything closes. Make certain you are within walking distance of your hotel or apartment. One night, at 4 AM I was unable to get a taxi, long lines down at Parque Poblado, swarms of people flagging down anything all around the park. I walked around trying to find 1. By the time I returned to Parque Poblado, all the taxis were gone and the streets were empty. Walked to La Frontera (the southern border between Poblado and Envigado) at 5 AM, a 40 minute walk at a fast, steady pace.

They are not jealous or angry at you. They screw the girls for free and they know that the girls love them. They know that you have to pay a week's wages to have sex with their girls, and the girls don't really like you. So there is nothing to get jealous or angry about. If anything, they probably see you as pathetic because you pay so much for what they get for free.

Many foreigners from many countries travel at sometimes great expense to be with these "hood ass hookers" and use up their entire vacation time to be with them. Seems like you said before that nearly half the Colombian women are prostitutes. So nobody cares about half the women in Colombia? Just because they sell themselves does not mean they are bad people. One man's ugly duckling is another man's swan. So yes many guys local and foreign care about these women. I am one of them. They must mean something to you too since you have nearly 16,000 posts on this site dedicated to hookers which requires a large commitment of your time. That seems to be from guys that only deal with hookers, therefore they assume most women are hookers. I mostly deal with women that are not hookers so I do not see the country that way.
I also never said hookers are bad people. Are you saying that you give a rat's ass about people paying to fuck the hookers where you are from? This is just another one of those old gringo tales they use to make themselves feel superior to the locals. I think you misunderstood my post. I met an engineer making $900 a month, and if my gal's daughter became an engineer and learned that other women were making 2 or 3 X what she was on her back, I would be afraid she might get discouraged and / or quit her studies. It is hard to stay motivated when they payoff is years down the line.
And one of her friends is an amazing dancer. She has the spinner build that you do not see much in the Latin world and would be in huge demand in the monger world if she kept her figure for a few years, but she has very big plans in the dancing world. It would be tragic if she did not pursue her dream and for whatever reason had to turn to the monger world to make ends meet.
And I saw a customs lady in Medellin show me a really nasty attitude. We got into Medellin early in the morning from Mexico. I was in the front of the plane and the only line open was for Colombians. My gal and her daughter were behind me and were going to use the bio mig line so I went ahead. Well, the customs agent looked with absolute disgust at all the Colombia stamps on my passport, and she was about to send me to the foreigner line which had just opened and would have been a long wait. Anyway, my gal and her daughter passed by my line just then and smiled and the customs woman asked who is that, and I said my GF and she saw that I was there so often to be with them and not a bunch of hookers, and she stamped the passport, smiled, and let me through. I wish you could have seen the disgust in this woman's face versus the smile she gave me. It was unreal how quickly her emotions changed.
So for all this talk of simps and guys "ruining the market" by overpaying, it is actually those very guys, the cheap charlies, hanging in places like Centro and Parque Lleras that the Colombian government is after.
I don't know what percentage of attractive 18 to 30 girls are hookers but I'm sure it's high. The temptation to monetize your beauty on SA or tinder is high, especially if you can pick the guys you want to be with vs working at a casa where you don't have that option.
I would love to know which hotel you stayed at. I am not into clubs or streets. I am in Medellin in a few weeks, thinking of just sticking to calling girls from lacelestina.
