Pic of Chelsi at Hong Kong
First time in Tijuana in September.
Going to be in Tijuana for a few days. I've gone other places, but I'm a little tense about this particular trip for various reasons. I'm not old, but can't walk more than a block or two at a time due to joint issues, so finding the right base of operations is key.
Need a quality, safe hotel that I can be comfortable leaving a my things in, which will include a laptop that's probably too big for a safe. It will need to be girl friendly, preferably in an area with plenty of other American tourists. Some nearby shops and restaurants would be nice. AC and WiFi are also helpful.
Zona Norte is okay, but if there's a safer, better option I would probably take it as long as I could get escorts there without problems. Also, what's the policy on taking girls from bars to hotels? Are they okay to do that, are the other tourist areas too far?
Master Suite In Cascadas Has Safes Too
I just wanted to add that the Master Suite in the Cascadas motel has safes. It is $115 per night if you reserve it in advance online. $130 if you do not reserve it.
Hmm. So, you want to go to Mexico in order to be around a bunch of Americans? .
Actually, you may be very disappointed if that's your goal. It's pretty easy to walk up and down the length of Revolucion, on a weekend afternoon, and see exactly zero tourists. I'm only exaggertaing a bit. But the hordes of gringos are a thing of the past.
RTFF and you'll find answers to all of your questions, and then some. However, here are a couple of summary points.
1. The hotels of the zona are not designed for long-term accomodations. It's do-able, but it's not all that comfortable. None have safes, with the possible exception of the "Master Suite" room in Cascadas.
2. The girls cannot leave the bar during their shift, unless you're willing to fork over a bundle for a "Salida" fee. Even then, she may not be amenable.
3. Stay at either the Pueblo Amigo or Ticuan. Both satisfy your requirements for A / C, WiFi, and not hassling escorts. Take a taxi to / from the zona if you're unable to walk much. The safes will accomodate a reasonably-sized notebook. If yours is large, leave it at home or stash it in a dresser drawer. The WiFi at Ticuan can be a bit spotty.
