This happened to me a once and only once so I think I can make a suggestion / comment. The girl I talked to offer the same thing you said, meeting up on her day off without charging. I didn't think much of it, I thought she was just being nice and I have no problem paying girls for their day rate, 1000,1500, or 2000 euros or whatever. If I like the girl and she offers great service with great attitude to please, money no problem.

Then we met and spend time all day Saturday and half day Sunday (Saturday is a busy day too and she is considered a "top girl" here so I bet she makes a lot of money on a Saturday too), she has a car and drove us to nice places for lunch, dinner, breakfast. Everything was great, so I paid her day rate at the end of our meet up. When I gave her the money she seemed neutral, not happy or upset, I think it's just natural habit of a prostitute taking money when she sees it. I was a bit surprised to see her not even smile a bit when I paid, but I didn't think much of it at the time.

However, a couple days later when we chatted over the phone, she was upset that I paid. She said it made her feel like a prostitute even on her day off and she wanted to be more than just that. She said that because I paid, I see her only as a prostitute and nothing more. So it kinda ended after that.

That was the most confusing shit of my life.

I think what you described happens very rarely. A top girl, voluntarily comes over w / o even being picked up in her own car, spend a day or more with you, pays for food and drinks, holds hands and kisses on the bench in the park, goes to your room and fucks multiple times. And the end wants zero money.

Perhaps it can happen with a very top girl, and if she really likes you deeply? She has made so much money in the club that she now wants to have a normal day for once.

Most girls I met in the clubs want to be paid. Even on their off days and even when there is no sex. At least during this time of their life when they are working as prostitutes, they are looking to monetize every single interaction with a man. That's how it appears to me. Obviously, there will be exceptions.

I for one take it for granted that any woman who doesn't expect anything from me in return is up to something. When said woman happens to be a sex-worker it becomes eerie. It's as worrying as a stranger in an airport suddenly asking me to carry their luggage.

And since nothing can ever be proven or unproven, I leave such claims to the side with no judgement on my part. But at both cases the guys were a 30's vintage and in both cases the girl was only around five years younger.
