Rio de Janeiro Reports

Great report bro. You were very adventurous for a first-timer, seriously.

Couple notes:

1) the Taxi "Chart" is new since a few months ago. Rio raised all the taxi rates but they're too lazy to adjust all the taximeters, so they printed out charts and gave them to tall Taxi drivers who consult the chart at the end of a trip to figure out how to adjust up the meter to the new fare. Yes, it's lame.

2) Luomo has had poor quality chicks lately, sorry you found out the hard way. I am of two minds on the bar commission. I never tip the bartender, so I understand why they want a little "taste." 3) Amazed you had a great time repeatedly at Solarium as my last 2-3 trips there have been complete disasters (though granted on weekends). As you seem to have found out, all it takes is 1 girl with whom you click. Why did you like it so much?

4) MC: "When I put my tongue in her mouth she started choking and complained it was too big." Are you sure it was your tongue? . That's an odd reaction. Still, there are a lot of girls there too bad you didn't hit another. Re shorts & flipflops. I usually walk home from MC at 11-midnight in shorts / flipflops. I kind of look like I came from the gym. I do this at least once per week, about 10 mins walk down Nossa Senhora. I don't feel touristy per se.

On the other hand, tonight at MC while I was waiting for my chick to emerge, these 3 big American-type tourists came upstairs -- I'm talking fat/round, maybe late 50s/early 60s, loud, drunk, no Porto ... and with 3 HEINOUS chicks, I mean it was like they picked the fatty mc fatties in the boate ... the girls who I always wonder how they get customers ... and I'm like, ugh, this is what everyone thinks of me, I guess, as an American. Even my chick later was hassling me over my "American" accent speaking Porto, and how I pronounce "r"s at the end of words (falar, habilitar, estar, etc.). Dang.

5) Metro. Yeh usually you can take the metro back until midnight. It really is one of the safest places in all Rio. And from most centro T's the walk there isn't too bad. Next time skip the cabs if you have and you'll save some dough.

Being that today is a hoilday in Brasil, I am sure many people will have some available time to surf the net. I just took a look at the Hotside site, and something caught my attention. I noticed that slowly, but surely, more gp's are beginning to show their faces or once you click on their initial picture, it leads you to their info. Along with a picture of uncovered face. Not all, but some, which in the past was a rare thing.

BTW, seems as Hotside now has a new format. Nice!

I'm a novice at this! Went to Rio in May and was recommended to go to Barbarellas. Hooked up with a girl who called herself Cristina. Quite short, slim buld but very friendly. Had a great time back at my hotel. I'm going back again on business in July and wonder if she is still working there? Or can anyone reccomend anywhere else?

All these places are safe, except maybe the girls at T502. :) But I do them and recommend you to take a session at 502 next time. The volume of the music is a little much, but I guess the objective is to drive you upstairs with a girl as soon as possible. The attachment on the metro line switch to VM is important, I want to bring attention to that. Glad to see that you got hooked on a girl, Alexis. It isn't a good trip if you don't find at least one girl that is good enough to cause that feeling.

Which country of the above is most recommended when the following factors are taken into account:

- value for money, I. E. Expenses for acommodation and food etc.

- Girls, in terms of looks, access, services, attitude, hornyness and of course value for money.

- weather in December to February.

- english language skills.

- crime.

Brazil wins when it comes to the girls and nice weather.
Besides this Brazil is comparetively expensive, low English skills and has more crimes.
I remember you asked before regarding your tight budget. I think you should skip Brazil.

Yeah, I thought about the prior posts and figured Brazil would be pretty cool but expensive. Of course, I could always throw in some extra dough (from my hard earned money) but how deep digging its worth I don't know. So it got me thinking what more alternatives there are in SA. Now, when the World Cup and Olympics are coming up as well the hotels in Brazil are not afraid to charge I guess. Anyways, I reckon Mexico and Argentina are rather equal then, a preference of personal matter. Tequila or lamb meat, hugo sanchez or maradona.

On english skills Brazil has a lot to improve especially because Olympics and World Cup will be held soon however Argentina has the same problem though.

Back in Rio for 3 weeks work and festa. Just trying to remember / revise my porto over the weekend before tasting of the delights of the brasileira on Monday.

I'd be grateful for any advice from residents or recent visitors on which cambios are giving the best rates in Copa and Centro at the moment?

MABS is now refurbished and opened again, is it worth checking out?

I stopped by Balcony on Friday night after arriving for a drink and to see what was on offer these days. Not much, but it was early (9/10 pm) and the girls were just arriving. [/QUOTE]Had lunch at MABS yesterday (Saturday). It seems to have gone the way of Meia Pataca. You see the occasional service provider but mostly just regular folks now. And the prices, to me, seem WAY high. The dish I had, steak au pouvire (sp?) w / rosti potatoes was about average for the Atlantica restaurants as far as quality, R$52. They have a picture of "The Four Marks Brothers" on the wall inside. I mentioned to one of the waitresses there were actually FIVE brothers and maybe they could add the fifth one on. She seemed unimpressed.

As for Gleice / Gracey. I got to Balcony about 0030 (12:30am) Friday night. If she was the one wearing the skin tight spandex infused yellow dress, you are right she's been around forever. She was at Meia P. Earlier that day with the same dress on. I've seen her frequently at Meia P. During the day and then later at Balcony wearing the same outfit. Never talked to her so have no other info except from observations.

Actually it would be great if either of you guys can post a full-on report from Balcony one of these nights. I keep meaning to go check it out but it's such a pain in the ass I never make it. If you are pulling 8s+ from there for R$150-R$200 I want to hear about it!

I'm not a night owl and tend to prive by day or Centro termas in the afternoon / evening. I've only been to Balcony 3 times, always before 12, picked up one loira from Sao Paulo in November 2010 with big bolt ons. Not usually my type but she was a good ride and had inch long nips! I was quoted a price of R$200/250 on Friday night (at 10. 00 pm). I am not sure if it was for 1 or 2 hours, it wasn't for TLN as I specifically asked. I didn't negotiate as my aim was just to grab a drink and check it having just flown in 2 hours earlier.

By the way, on my walk round Copa last night I saw the blue light on and the door open at Club 22. I had read (or thought I had read with my poor porto) on a brazilian forum that it was closed. But the blue light is on. Putaplaya will be pleased! I hope Valerie (loira with nice tits and GFE) is still there.

So for those of you, who are fans of Rua Uruguania 24, I've just heard it was busted just last week and is now closed. Apparently there were a couple of minors there. They [the police] carted off both girls and guys to the cop shop. This again goes to show, that screening the girls is very important, even in places where you may believe that the screening of minors has already been done for you.

Not sure for how long is will be closed, but not too worry, as most of the girls re-appeared at BA 85. I am unaware as to whether or not the increased number of GDPs at BA 85 will be beneficial to the guys, but the increased competition should be good, but watch for the girls attitudes. Hopefully for the better.
