They do not care if their daughters are drafted into the sex trade when they are 18 versus 16. If you want to bang Colombian women, go to Bogota where this shit is not going on. Or at the very least, fly into Bogota and go to Medellin after.
Then how come only a minority of women do it? And how come their ugly cousin works in a laundry or at McD's? Fifty years of mongering in LatAm makes me think there is a lot more to it.
Wow, I actually agree with you. Broken clocks are right twice a day too.

Westerners, specially US Americans now-a-days are not popular around the world due to the foreign policy our government is following.
Which club did you get 100 K BBFS?
All of them apart from Barra Ejecutiva (and Hitlon Bar). All the other clubs and bars are much lower price for a session.

Many guys would not have posted with this degree of honesty. I appreciate your candidness.
I have 10+ years in MDE. Something like this has happened to me seven years ago when I was in a residential building. The neighbor actually had the doorman knock on my door and tell me that they're about to call the police. So before the police came, or it got escalated, I took a photo of the girls cedula, gave it to the doorman, packed my carryon and left with the girl. The girl is actually a friend of mine, 19 years old, but I still did not want the drama. I was nervous as hell just with the threat of the police and I can only imagine how shaken up you would've been with the police at the door. The irony of my story is that it was my own apartment. I just bought it a month ago to rent it out as an Airbnb! I immediately stopped doing short-term Airbnb rentals and started renting it out long-term and six months later I sold it. Another reason why I sold it is, I can see the point a view of the residents of the residential building. They live there with their families, and they do not want to see young women in skimpy clothes, parading in and out of their buildings and elevators. I can completely understand how it can be uncomfortable.
That was also the last time I used Airbnb in MDE. Since then I've switched over to hotels. When I travel with family and friends to non-mongering destinations, I'm a big Airbnb user. But in mongering destinations, I find hotels lot safer and convenient, for multiple reasons.
The Colombia laws are also tricky. Colombia law allows seizure of the property if someone is caught within the property with a minor. It is not worth the risk, for the owner or the renter.
Question: how did you handle the phone search question? do they have the legal right to search your phone as you're entering the country? I don't know the answer to this. I know USA CBP does have the right. What do they expect to find on your phone that could get you in trouble? Let's say you have compromising photos of you and some other women on your phone, so what? How did they know that the people in the photos are not 18? Or do you think they asked you for your phone just to mess with you? Does anyone know answers to these questions?
I understand you had bad experiences during this trip but please don't wish that 'tourism in Columbia should go down'. I love Colombia. I don't wish anything negative to it or it's economy. Ha ha.
Happy mongering. Good luck and be safe in Tijuana and Thailand.
First time in Medellin in a year and everything has changed. The immigration officer asked to check my phone and thank goodness I had just gotten a new phone the day before and had nothing on it. Both immigration officers looked at me with disgust regardless. First La Isla prices are through the roof and are not worth it. The women there keep hounding you for money. It's a complete gringo trap now. They charge $150-200 for one bang not including entry fee and drinks. I went with a girl and I didn't last 10 minutes and I felt like a complete idiot. $150 for that? What a complete ripoff!
On facebook tons of girls are gone and there are barely girls advertising now. Its like only the fuglies remain. I did find one keeper, she was 20 yr old spinner. I am very very discreet and checked her ID. 20 minutes after she arrives, I hear the loudest banging on my door and it's 4 police officers! They came in furious, screaming asking questions. Apparently, a lady in the building called the cops. Now the girl who was aggressive in negotiating played victim. They asked for her ID and it was fake! Luckily she turned out to be 18 and she was just too lazy to get her own ID but what a terrible experience. What if she was 17? I would've gone to jail and my face would've been all over the news. They took pictures of me. All the neighbors were in the hallways wondering what was going on. It was 3 hour debacle.
Listen the crackdown is real! Colombians are pissed about guys coming here for women. Not only that my friend I hangout with here got robbed in Estadio in broad daylight and he's a veteran with 7 years in Medellin. I know this forum likes to look at Medellin with rose colored glasses but this place has gotten terrible. The honeymoon is over. I hope the tourism collapses in Medellin. Maybe you're reading this and you didn't have a bad experience. Or you think it won't happen to you and you could be right, but you could also be wrong. Is it worth the stress? Back to Tijuana and Thailand for me.
What is the current going rate for the overpriced tourists spots you mentioned? Parque, isla, loutron, etc.
I heard it has gone up alot in just 2 yrs.
Facebook is not tourist prices. It's going to depend how you use Facebook I suppose but I have gotten many off of Facebook in the 100 k to 150 k range over the past few years. Have them meet you at a location in Centro and go to a 3 hour hotel.
Also the Botero plaza area and Veracruz Church prices around 40 k to 50 k is another place to find local prices.
Just avoid el Poblado and parque Lleras. That is for sure the tourist pricing as well as the stupid clubs like Gustos, la Isla, Loutron, and all those kind of places.
If you want club atmosphere with local prices I'd suggest the clubs around Centro like ejecutiva grill and conejos.
As for casas (brothels) I believe New Life has been mentioned to charge decent rates or was it Energy I do t remember since I don't use those places but just RTFF and you will find where to go for local pricing.

Fifty years of mongering in LatAm makes me think there is a lot more to it.
It is still frowned on. The ugly cousin may not have had an option to make good money at it. But there may be a beautiful cousin that never got started into it either. Because they didn't think it was a good thing to do. I know a family like that. The one that chose to never do sex for money lives a very very modest life, mid to late 30's, still at home. Helps with a bit of rent to mother, but life is work, work, rice and beans, and a bottle of red wine every 2 or 3 weeks. 2 other sisters are / were working girls, when they were childless and relatively young the money was more than enough to meet basic needs, they could work a few days and take a week off. Basically not getting ahead but an easier life. But once there is a kid, or more, all changes. Within families nothing is free. Mom babysits, but because daughter makes money mom needs money, and really does. So in the end the working girls ends up supporting several family members and is no where ahead of the one that stayed out of prostitution in the first place.

Personally, I am happy to pay the 600 K La Isla charges because I know that a bunch of cops are not going to knock on my door in the middle of me having sex and take pictures of me.

The question about seizure has to do with whether or not they need a warrant or not. You can seize anything with a warrant. So whether customs needs a warrant or not, and my guess is they do not, is just an issue of semantics.
They are searching your phone to deny you entry to their country so ask yourself what would customs see to prevent you from entering.
And if you see google's timeline feature, it is really damned accurate about where you have been. It is super easy track your prior locations, and I suspect customs will get to that soon. Obviously, you should shut off that feature on your phone but you can still be tracked even if you turn it off.
So if you have been going to Colombia and mongering before, don't even bother cleaning up your phone. Get a new phone and new number before entering. And once you get to Colombia, leave that phone in your hotel and use a burner phone when mongering.

I heard it has gone up alot in just 2 yrs.
I know in parque lleras and the surrounding area the street girls are starting out around 250 k pesos now. However there have been reports that some are asking in dollars for $100 usd.
In Gustos it has been reported here that girls quote in dollars as high as $300 usd for one hour of service. (probably the single most tourist price you can get in Medellin).
I don't frequent these places so I'm just going off of what has been reported here or what women who work both Centro and Poblado have told me. One guy recently posted that he spent $150 usd at la isla for some 10 minute bullshit service and Loutron has been mentioned as a tourist trap for newbies with high prices as well.
As I said plaza botero, Parque Berrio Metro station in the stairways, coffee girls, candy girls, and now apparently water girls are also doing "ratos" you just have to ask. CRA 53 backside of the museum and across the street where the bars are. Also Centro clubs such as Barra Ejecutiva Grill Nueva and Conejitos will offer more reasonable prices if you want the club atmosphere.
Gabacho Out.

LOL what could go wrong? She's 23 - I look 50 ish.. in my mind, I'm 29. LOL I will get wheelchair thru customs. I doubt they will check anything. I will say she is my nurse. Maybe hide the handcuffs etc. Fuk Tijuana I will report. In July.
