I went the local girl route, and 3 of the girls caught feelings. One literally shows up to my place unannounced with food and shit, and I had to move APTs because of that. She does not ask for money, cooks, and cleans my place without me asking. Literally became my DD / Taxi. I was stumbling out of a bar one time she saw me when she was out with friends, took me home, took care of me. Then I got cold as well as Deli belly because I got caught in the rain and ate some stupid street shit in the barrio. I did not answer on WhatsApp and kind of disappeared. She showed up with her sister and with groceries in tow. They deep-cleaned my place at the hospital level clean. This 21-year-old girl literally was spoon-feeding me soups watching Rick and Morty in bed with me sick for 5 days. My neighbor was laughing at me so hard. What flavor of crazy is this? I don't do anything flashy, I don't even wear jewelry, I don't flash cash. I don't even have a car or speak decent Spanish, LOL. Why? Granted, I am not 65 or ulgy, but girls are going ape shit real quick from 0 to 100 in a week. All I did was invite her for a ride on a rental bike the next day, and she went off after that.

You are okay with the one gal staying 5 days in a row with you almost 24/7. Any normal young girl not hardened yet is going to develop feelings for you. Also, some of these gals see us as potential to giving them a "better life", Visa, boyfriend and some will do anything to reel you in; they are not dumb. So, the question becomes what do you do to prevent this: Simple- keep it all business, no overnights, smash and then go and see her maybe once per trip. Keep a rotation of many girls and up front tell them you are not looking for anything serious. If she starts showing feelings and cannot handle it, then cut her loose by telling her you have a girlfriend back home and want to make it work with her and not sabotage things, but thanks for everything. You will have to stop communication with her, and time will heal everything. Do not fall into the trap when she tells you she is "okay with an open relationship" as she is hoping you will eventually come around and really fall for her. But, again, you sort of have to be selfish unless you are looking for a girlfriend. San Peter Apartment, CL. 41 A #70-42, Laureles. Estadio, Medellíand, Antioquia, Colombia is a good option for a first timer in Medellin.

First and foremost, the building is chica / guest / visitor friendly and has a good security / reception desk. The girls must have a valid original ID (Cidulla). And the girl is allowed to leave only once you approve it.

Second is that the building location is great! The building is in Laureles / Estadio neighborhood, which is not as expensive as Poblado but not as scary / unsafe as Centro. Exito supermarket for all your booze, grocery / food, and toiletries needs is only a one block walk. La 70 street with a line up of bars and nightlife is just one street over. The Estadio metro station is a short doable walk away. There are many good food joints, but I enjoyed breakfast the most at Al Alma, Café Primavera, Semilla café, and Café Revolution; all within 3-5 minutes' walk. I also recommend the taco / Mexican food truck that is on La 70 on opposite side of the apartment. It is the taco truck with the staff dressed in white with red hats and every evening / night, they have a long line of people waiting for their orders.

The Medellin Sports Bar ([URL]https://www.facebook.com/MedellinSportsBar/[/URL]) on the first floor of the building is a very good hangout spot for a newcomer. The bar owner, Joe, is American and a very helpful guy. You'll find other mongers hanging out there, watching games, and enjoying food. Each night has a different theme. When I was there, there were poker tournaments, language exchange night, and a ladies (free drinks) night. You can find the information on the Bar's FB page. At night, there are always a few chicas there hoping to get picked up. I was quoted 150 K pesos for 2 hours.

The apartments are decent size and have all the basic amenities. Most have a safe to store your valuables (not big enough for a laptop, though), hot (not cold) water, a washer, and an AC in bedroom in most apartments.
