Medellin Reports

I have been to MDE first time back in March and again in May. First time I stayed in Airbnb and it was very convenient. However, in April there have been some more restriction over Airbnb so I took chance with hotel Du parc back in May.

Based on my May experience. Both AirbNbn and Hotel now a days strictly checks physical IDs and original passport / immigration stamp in case of Venezuelans. I almost had to do every session in cheap hotels in May.

Any recommendation for ID free Airbnb walk-able to Lleras Park? I know the risks involved with ID free arrangements, but most girls I happen to like are Venezuelans and they often don't have immigration stamps etc. I take enough precautions before I invite girls to my hotel.

Also has the scene at Lleras Park changed? Is it back to normal now? I am planning to be in MDE in 2 weeks so can use help with ID friendly hotels / Airbnb recommendation. TY TY.

It sounds like you got a crazy one here, and in this case, I would just block and ignore her and let everyone around you know that you are not with her. When I say, you are the lottery ticket type. Whatever income you make, multiply it by 10 and that is how rich you are in Colombia. If you make $100 k per year, that is like making a million with Colombian women. Colombian men frequently cheat, are drug addicted, physically violent, and often do not care about their kids. Getting a good looking guy who moves well is the easy part for Colombian women, and because there are so many of those guys, the women culturally are told to go after rich men. So if you are a nice decent looking guy making $100 k in the USA, you really are not that special in the USA anymore, but in Colombia, you are the shit.

If you have all this going on, then you have to change your attitude and how you present yourself. Consider yourself like a female 10. If the woman gives off any positive vibe to men, they are going to hit on the woman, so the 10's have to be careful not to give off that vibe. So maybe quit being so nice and helpful.

Unfortunately, I have a friend who recently married a Colombian woman who also came with a preteen daughter, ie. , had to take as a package. In Unicentro Mall (located in the Laureles / Estadio neighborhood), there is a mobile shop; if you enter the mall from the University side entrance, take a right and it is the fourth or fifth store on the right. For 20000 pesos, I got a Claro SIM card with unlimited calls, 4 GB data and free FB and WhatsApp data for 7 days. You can add more minutes / data as needed. I did not have to provide any documentation. I was told that registration with the telephone company is not required if you are keeping the number for less than 20 days. The girl at the counter activated the SIM and tested it in my phone. I had no connectivity issue during my stay.

Used it for both Google Maps and Uber when I was in the city.

That's what I choose. I get nice apartments (in one right now) with a keypad for entry into building and into apartment, no doorman, no one to explain anything to, nice private stay. Hundreds of places qualify like this. I personally prefer to stay in the Manila area (south of Poblado). Quieter calmer area.
