Up here in Isaan I do occasionally get girls from kareokes, which in many towns is the only venue available. They sometimes overcharge foreigners and the prices are high (1, 300-1, 500 baht short time, which includes, typically, a stated 300 baht bar fine), not to mention the unpleasantness of being in such a place. They very rarely if ever get farang customers. I've found great service in such places maybe twice and every other time horrible service, but those two great times were really top notch. Just luck I suspect.

Of course in many kareokes most if not all of the girls refuse to go. This could be anti-farang sentiment or just that they're only there to rip people off for drinks.

But you're definitely right, Thai venues always have the cutest and youngest girls by far, especially relative to price.

Yes definetly gogo bars and not Karaoke (at least a cross between coyote and gogo)...Suttisan is quite famous for this and very well knwn and very easy to find....it is close to the last BTS station before Mochit....very easy to walk from there....but honestly it is not worth going on your own, i did it before and it was not good....i suggest you would HAVE to go with Thais to enjoy it.....i got great service i think mainly because papasan bent the girls ear a bit..one of the guys i was with seemed to be a real regular.

I just added Sutthisan MRT station to the Map. Sutthisan Road runs East west and is just above the MRT station.
I mean't to check out these bars, but never got round to it.
So I don't the exact location of the bars on this road, and its a long road, but I guess the bars are well to West of MRT station.

I do speak good Thai, so I reckon I would manage O.K.

I spent some time in Bangkok and know at least one girl who does this for a living, she also works Sukhumvit Road.
Probably she is long gone for now but they do come back.

just posted a report in Pattaya and Other areas. Here are my final words from BKK about a month ago.

After a week in Chiang Mai and the very north with a regular friend I returned to Bangkok for my last night. Take the BTS to Saphan Khwai Station, head back toward the Big C, turn left at the big Saliratthawiphak intersection, follow the road as it bends to the right, then left at Suttisan = 'T Ded99' 'Music VDO' etc.

It's another speak Thai or die kind of area, not sure if the guys lurking around here are up for it, but I am sure you are SF. The girls are definitely pretty cute, but they don't speak English, not at all. They also make all kinds of pinched "I'm dying" faces when you put it in, 'too big', so, word to the wise: "Play". ;)

I have found many women there in the morning that you can barfine and take back to your hotel - and if you happen to stay at the Marriott, it is an easy walk back.

In the afternoon it is good to hit one of the other bars and play pool and find a girl that could be of interest for some fun in the room.

Sometimes the mornings and afternoons are best.

As you leave the station, head south back towards central Bangkok and at the first intersection take a left. After a couple of minutes, the road turns to the right and almost immediately, you will see the bars in front of you. It will be obvious you have found them. The bars extend in both directions, as indicated by the green line on the map. The red line represents the walk from the Skytrain station.

I went to these places about 3 yaers ago but I was on my own and couldnt speak any Thai then. I did not feel at all welcome and it was a bad experience. This time the guys I went with were well known to the go go bar papasans (or captains as they call them) and it was a totally different story. You will never see a girl with a baby in these bars and very few of them are over 25 years old with a lot being in the 19 to 21 range and all were in my opinion of a very very high standard.



When the girls come and sit with you it is by invitation only and they will NEVER dare to ask you for a drink. They just drink beer the same as we were drinking (you know the style, ice bucket on a trolley next to your table with 3 or 4 large bottles of heineken). You pick the girls you want to sit with you and the papasan brings then over. Once they are sat with you they dont leave..none of this getting up to dance every four songs nonsense. We all deicede on girls and they came and sat with us and were lovely company....a very far cry from the hardened girls at Nana and Cowboy....a very very far cry indeed, impossible to compare.



When i was happy with the girl and we had had some fun i asked how much to go shortime...1,500THB ALL IN...so that includes bar fine and payment for the girl....and guess what...the service was fantastic, blow job, come on tits and all very spontaneous (not mechanical) and great GFE. I think the papasan had bent her ear a bit on account of the obviously regular patrons I was with. I gave her a 100TB tip (on advice from my friends) and she was very grateful for this.



After 2 or 3 years in Bangkok I gave up on go go bars completely..i just could stand the hardened attitude and totally over inflated prices..way out of whack with the reality of living costs and salaries in Thailand....i cant help but think we have over the years ruined the market for ourselves..i feel we have no one to blame but ourselves as it has been us that have let the girls get away with it...that and the fact that many bars are run by foreigners makes it all the worse.


One thing about Suttisan is that my guess is you have to go with Thais to have a good time there and be well looked after...you might also get away with it if you can speak good Thai. I have said this many times now but in my opinion the scene for Farang in Thailand is not good and the best experiences are to had in the Thai places IF (and probably only if) you can go with Thais...they made the rules and know best how it works.[/QUOTE]

I'd second your opinion....never made it to Sutthisan myself although have meant to countless times...i speak pretty decent Thai...i use some of the massage places on Petchaburi regularly, Thai 90% ones, and the service is fantastic, far better and far cheaper than anything to be found around Soi Cowboy/Nana with no attitudes.......anyone seen this new place on Pra Kanong (soi 71) about halfway up between Suk and Petchaburi that looks like a gogo? spanking new, I believe it is called Wonder Woman, lots of very cute talent in very skimpy outfits standing out front each night...might be well worth a look.
