I haven't been to Brazil yet but I'm taking notes.

I've also never been to Pattaya or Thermae for that matter, although I plan to visit both soon. I'm pretty skeptical of both places from what I've read and I have grown to dislike Thai girls in general. Not too optimistic but I have a solid backup plan if they don't work out for me.

In Brazil, I can still go to boates or termas, sit down and talk to the girls at length and don't have to pay or not buy drink. The locals do the same. But Brazil in a level higher in several aspects.

It was a huge club that, similar to Gusto, was where all of the prostitutes that catered to tourists showed up. It might have been more general even further back, but it was pretty firmly a tourist place when I went. I only went twice before it closed and I was extremely green in those days (19 years old, my first time) but I didn't see any freebies being given out as Mr. E stated. You could go from girl to girl and grind on them, buy them drinks, and try to talk to them over the pounding, loud music but it wasn't like you could waste hours doing that. You negotiated an amount and then left with the girl. Girls weren't super cheap, either and the top girls seemed to charge a reasonably high amount.

The 'problem' for reggaeton is that not all reggaeton is made equal. There are songs straight about fucking and partying but plenty are quite 'romantic' and about love, intimacy, heartbreak etc, which for Spanish speakers might not be ideal to listen to in all circumstances since they do understand every word that's being said. When she's in cuddly mood she might not want to hear a song about hard fucking and 'you're my puta' and when she's in horny mood she might not want to hear about tears and heartbreak. Electronic music, usually no words, so no such problems. Agreed that reggaeton has better beat for banging, electronica bit is usually too fast, more for club dancing and tussi heads (plus it's somewhat boring and mechanical).

And it was super cheap. I used to give those chicks 100 reais per night at an exchange rate of 3. 89. So that was $25. The most I have seen reported in that thread of someone giving them is 300 reais which was $77. When they announced World Cup and Olympics the exchange rate dropped to 1.52. So that 100 reais was then $65 and the 300 reais $197. My experience with that is what makes me say be careful of what you pay, because today's $65 may turn into tomorrow's $197 on exchange rate alone.

And despite what many on this board say, respect does not mean overpaying or being a simp. Is it 100% foolproof? Of course not. But so far I'm batting 1. 000.
