We are 3 friends who are traveling to Medellin from different parts of the US to Medellin. None of us are into hard core escorts or SW's. We are in our late 40's and primarily see girls from seeking. [/QUOTE]That's not my experience at all but I am just one person. I consider "passable" GFE to be a decent IOP (Illusion of Passion). Any girl I've taken from Gusto has given me following (just note that I usually book a TLN experience around 500 K from when I last visited 2 years ago, no clue what it costs now).

1) No rush to get started. We can sit and talk and have a glass of wine or a drink before getting down.

.[/QUOTE]You and so many others can read but can not comprehend the moral of the story. The main issue was not about money. It was about safety. Colombians are hot heads that easily can "go off". Any issue with a girl in Colombia can easily and very quickly end up 2 times worse than most other places around the world for the exact same situation. Did you RTFF or even read regular news? There is a general "We hate foreigners attitude" going around. So that 2 times is now bumped up to a 3 times more serious condition.

A so called 9 and 10 will be rare by definition so you are not going to find them easily anywhere. As long as they are from the same background as others, many will start low like most others. [/QUOTE]You will be fine, no need to be all paranoid. First thing is to find out if your hotel will let you bring a girlfriend back in, and if so -- any fees involved with that. Prevents surprises. Second, networking for girls seems to be your challenge -- so it depends how long you are staying. The Mansion's 'cave bar' is a hangout for vetted girls, or half a dozen clubs in the Park Lleras area. Girls themselves tend to give each other the advice that they should seek a minimum of $300 k COP for being with a guy ($75 USD), but to raise it to $600 k COP minimum if being picked up in Park Lleras clubs ($150 USD) - due to extra risk involved. How they negotiate individually is up to them and your individual style, etc. Also, don't get caught by the newbie trick of being quoted a price without currency.
