I'll be there 4 August. The easy and economical way for me to do it is
stay the first night at the Swagman in Manila. They will pick you up at the airport for free. The rooms aren't great, but they don't cost much compared to what's in the area and there aren't any problems bringing girls in. When there it's not too far to get walk to the LA Cafe and get a girl there.

The next day I'll catch the fly by bus from the same hotel, to Angeles for 500 Pesos. That's an easy way to Angeles and doesn't cost much, plus you can have a night at the LA cafe or other bars in the area.

Will be getting into Manila on August 9th through the 17th. Still trying to decide if I am going straight to AC or hanging out in Manila for a couple of days first but if anyone would like to hook up for a few drinks and bar hopping let me know.

WASHINGTON (Reuters) - U.S. federal agents have been given new powers to seize travelers' laptops and other electronic devices at the border and hold then for unspecified periods the Washington Post reported on Friday.

Under recently disclosed Department of Homeland Security policies, such seizures may be carried out without suspicion of wrongdoing, the newspaper said, quoting policies issued on July 16 by two DHS agencies.

Agents are empowered to share the contents of seized computers with other agencies and private entities for data decryption and other reasons, the newspaper said.

DHS officials said the policies applied to anyone entering the country, including U.S. citizens, and were needed to prevent terrorism.

The measures have long been in place but were only disclosed in July, under pressure from civil liberties and business travel groups acting on reports that increasing numbers of international travelers had had their laptops, cellphones and other digital devices removed and examined.

The policies cover hard drives, flash drives, cell phones, iPods, pagers, beepers, and video and audio tapes -- as well as books, pamphlets and other written materials, the report said.

The policies require federal agents to take measures to protect business information and attorney-client privileged material. They stipulate that any copies of the data must be destroyed when a review is completed and no probable cause exists to keep the information.

I just took the Fly By Bus to AC today. They charge 600 pesos now.
I asked about it, and they said they increased the price as of 1Aug.

The best thing to do is e mail all your pictures to your e mail and you can download later into your computer.
This will avoid unnecessary hardships if your laptop is seized.

In Celebration of Cebu Pacific's move to NAIA Terminal 3, they are having a system wide seat sale but hurry because it ends on August 5.

Will be in Cebu for the first week in Sep. Want to look at condos while I am there and need a reputable and honest real estate agent to show me some properties. Might be wrong forum for this, I am not sure. Any locals know someone? Would be extra nice if she is hot! But I am not really that picky.

I saw the CP ad about Terminal three, all flights there from Aug 1. Damn, I did the Tabgilaran to Mnl flight on July 31. I was hoping to see the new terminal.

Going to be in Angeles from Aug 15 to Aug 24th, experienced friend recommended Tiger Hotel on Narciso St, using the pickup service from the airport (Clark not Manila).

Any comments on this hotel and any recommendations for a first timer.
First post here, in the past have posted reports on Dhaka Bangladesh for a while with lots of pics, but thats history.

Lots of help from this site when I started going to thailand.

Anyone there during that time, care to meet up for a drink.

I hear Tiger is fine, just doesn't have a pool. You know you can use the pool at the Orchid if you pay around 500 pesos (should be consumable). Sounds like a lot, but if you have lunch and hang and have some beers it will work out ok.

If after a few days you feel burnt out on Fields, move up to Sunset Gardens or Hotel Hana and spend time at the Perimeter Bars.
